Calendering facility for reinforcement plies for tires
Calendering installation for the production of a reinforcing ply (600) for a tire, which has a frame (100), two extruders (200, 300) for feeding elastomer material, a reinforcing-thread feeding device (400), a calender (500) having a first pair of counter-rotating rollers, with a first working roller (52) and a first shaping roller (51), and a second pair of counter-rotating rollers, with a second working roller (53) and a second shaping roller (54), wherein a calendaring nip (59) is formed between the working rolls (32, 53) in order to receive a first calendered rubber ply (57) delivered by the first pair of rollers (51, 52), a second calendered rubber ply (58) delivered by the second pair of rollers (53, 54), and the reinforcing threads (45) in order to supply the calendered reinforcing ply (600), which is conveyed to the outlet of the installation via GUIDE ROLLERS (62, 63). According to the invention, the two extruders (200, 300) are superposed and arranged on either side of a horizontal plane P extending at the level of the guide rollers (62, 63).
Display assemblies and methods for applying the same to vulcanized rubber articles
Display assemblies as disclosed herein are configured for attachment with a vulcanized rubber article and are provided in the form of different material layers. Display assemblies generally comprise one or more display layers of elastomeric material configured to provide a desired display indicia, an intermediate layer formed from an elastomeric material different from that of the one or more display layers, and an adhesive layer wherein the intermediate layer is interposed between the adhesive layer and the one or more display layers. The one more display layers may be configured to act together or separately to provide a desired display indicia to provide a desired visual display or feature on the surface of the vulcanized rubber article, which may be a sidewall surface of a tire.
Device for sealing pneumatic tires
The invention relates to a device for sealing pneumatic tires by means of sealing liquid, having a sealing liquid container having an air inlet opening for connection to a compressor and an outlet opening for the discharge of an air/sealing liquid mixture into a pneumatic tire to be sealed, the sealing liquid container having at least two chambers in which components of the sealing liquid that are reactive to one another are stored separately, the chambers being separated from one another by a closed connecting element which can be opened via a pressure and/or an air flow from the air inlet opening to the outlet opening.
Rubber Sheet Member Joining Device and Method
Provided are a rubber sheet member joining device and method. At least one opposing surface of a pair of gripping parts is provided with a contact member having a contact surface projecting toward an other opposing surface of the pair of gripping parts; the pair of gripping parts grip ranges in proximity to end surfaces in a state in which end surfaces project from the one opposing surface toward the other opposing surface; the total of end surface projection amounts of the end surfaces from the opposing surfaces is set to be a predetermined length larger than a separation distance between the opposing surfaces when the contact member is sandwiched between the opposing surfaces; and by bringing the contact member into a state of being sandwiched between the opposing surfaces, the movement of the gripping parts in proximity to each other is stopped and the end surfaces are joined together.
Method for controlling the thickness of a continuous elongated element made of elastomeric material in a process for building tyres
A method for controlling the thickness of a continuous elongated element made of elastomeric material, applied according to coils wound on a forming support, includes: advancing a head end of the continuous elongated element toward the forming support; subjecting, during the advancement, the continuous elongated element to a first stretching with a first stretch coefficient before applying on the forming support; and subjecting, during the advancement, the continuous elongated element to a second stretching with a second stretch coefficient during the application on the forming support. During the first stretching, a span of the continuous elongated element adjacent to the head end is stretched with a supplementary stretch coefficient greater than the first stretch coefficient, in a manner so as to confer, also to the span adjacent to the head end, a stretch and a section similar or substantially equivalent to those of the rest of the continuous elongated element.
Mold cleaning system
Provided is a mold cleaning system. On the basis of an identification mark assigned to a mold and detected by a mark detector when cleaning the mold, the mold cleaning system obtains shape data for the molding surface of the mold which is stored in a database, and on the basis of the obtained shape data, the mold cleaning system controls the movement of arms using the control device, moves a laser head along the molding surface thereof while irradiating with a laser beam supplied by a laser oscillator, and as a result, removes the dirt adhered to the molding surface.
Tire repair method
Repair materials made of at least unvulcanized rubber are applied on a repair site of a damaged part of a tire, heating pads are applied on surfaces of the repair materials, wood pieces or other stuffing members differing in size are stuffed inside the tire, in a tire circumferential in tire circumferential direction where the repair materials are applied. The tire circumferential is fastened and pressed from surroundings by bands, and the repair site is heated by the heating pads to vulcanize the unvulcanized rubber of the repair materials, to thereby repair the tire. This repair method provides a low-cost tire repair method capable of maintaining the shape of the tire at the time of pressing and vulcanization, in various kinds of tires.
Tire Sealant Composition
A tire sealant composition, comprising: latex emulsion, surfactant, anti-freezing agent, dendrimer, and water, and optional component(s) selected from the group consisting of wetting agent and porous particles. The tire sealant compositions are excellent in high temperature stability and/or long term stability.
Used automobile tires as loss circulation material
An automobile tire that is unsuitable to carry an automobile is obtained. Tire chips are formed from the obtained automobile tire. The tire chips are mixed with a quantity of wellbore carrier fluid to form a mixture. The mixture is used as loss circulation material during a wellbore drilling operation.
Method of obtaining carbon containing material from recyclable tires and rubber products
A method for obtaining carbon-containing material from recyclable tires and rubber products, by mechanically crushing a raw material, from recycled tires in a shredder, supplying a charge to a reactor at temperature, removing gaseous pyrolysis products from the reactor, followed by condensing liquid products, unloading solid residue from the reactor and cooling it, feeding the cooled residue into a crusher, coarsely crushing the solid residue, removing metal from the crushed solid residue in a magnetic separator.
