An insulated container may include a rigid container surrounding an insulation layer formed from a post-industrial, pre-consumer card waste. The insulation layer may be characterized by a lack of any wrapping material. The insulation layer may be manufactured using a variety of converting processes including, carding, airlay, and needle punch to form a non-woven material for providing consistent density throughout the insulation layer. The insulation layer may include a natural fiber lamination layer on an outer surface of the insulation layer. The insulation layer may be biodegradable in an anaerobic environment.

A blank of sheet material is provided for forming a container convertible from a shipping configuration to a display configuration. The blank includes a glue panel, a front panel, a top panel, a rear panel, and a bottom panel coupled together in series by a plurality of generally parallel fold lines. The glue panel includes an opening mechanism and is configured to couple in face-to-face relationship to the bottom panel when the container is formed. The blank also includes a pair of top side panels extending from opposing side edges of the top panel, and a pair of bottom side panels extending from opposing side edges of the bottom panel. An edge perforation line extends along an edge between the top panel and the rear panel, and a face of each of the top panel, the bottom panel, and the pairs of side panels is devoid of perforation lines extending therethrough.

A system for scoring a web of a roll of material comprises a plate, a scoring punch, a scoring station actuator, and a controller. The plate has a slot extending about a shape representing an outline of a pressware product. The scoring punch has a protruding blade operable to enter the slot of the plate. The scoring station actuator is configured to shift the scoring punch or the plate to press the blade against the web to form a slot in the web. The controller is configured to direct the scoring station actuator to press the blade to a first predetermined scoring depth within the web.

A carton for holding a plurality of articles. The carton includes a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The carton has a display feature including a display opening in at least one of the first side panel and the second side panel, and a display panel foldably connected to the top panel. The display panel is located in the interior and spaced-apart from the opening. The display panel is at least partially visible through the display opening.

The blank also includes a pair of front side panels extending from opposing side edges of the front panel, a pair of top side panels coupled to opposing side edges of the top panel, and a pair of bottom side panels coupled to opposing side edges of the bottom panel. A side tab extends from each bottom side panel along a tab perforation line. Each side tab is configured to couple to one of the front side panels in a face-to-face relationship. A face of each of the top panel, the bottom panel, the pair of top side panels, and the pair of bottom side panels is devoid of perforation lines extending therethrough.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cellulose product having a flat or non-flat product shape by a pressure moulding apparatus comprising a forming mould. The forming mould has a forming surface defining said product shape, The method comprises the steps of: arranging a cellulose blank containing less than 45 weight percent water in said forming mould; heating said cellulose blank to a forming temperature in the range of 100 C. to 200 C.; and pressing said cellulose blank by means of said forming mould with a forming pressure acting on the cellulose blank across said forming surface, said forming pressure being in the range of 1 MPa to 100 MPa.

A method for manufacturing a cellulose product, comprising the steps: dry forming a cellulose blank in a dry forming unit; arranging the cellulose blank in a forming mould; heating the cellulose blank to a forming temperature in the range of 100 C. to 200 C.; and pressing the cellulose blank in the forming mould with a forming pressure of at least 1 MPa.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cellulose product having a flat or non-flat product shape by a pressure moulding apparatus comprising a forming mould. The forming mould has a forming surface defining said product shape, The method comprises the steps of:
arranging a cellulose blank containing less than 45 weight percent water in said forming mould; heating said cellulose blank to a forming temperature in the range of 100 C. to 200 C.; and pressing said cellulose blank by means of said forming mould with a forming pressure acting on the cellulose blank across said forming surface, said forming pressure being in the range of 1 MPa to 100 MPa.
