METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING FLEXIBLE PACKAGING PRODUCTS, MORE PARTICULARLY PACKAGING BAGS
The method serves for producing flexible packaging products, more particularly packaging bags, the packaging products being formed by welding together two film layers. In order to avoid imprecisions in the sequence of process steps, film sections (4) formed of film layers are separated from a film web (7a; 7b) and transferred to a transport device (1) where they are positively fixed at least at one edge by means of a fixing device (3). Then the film sections (4) are transported by means of the transport device (1) in a transport direction (5) to at least one welding station (12) while maintaining the positive fit, the film layers are welded together in the latter, and the film sections (4) are subsequently further transported while maintaining the positive fit.
A PACKAGING UNIT FOR HYGIENE ARTICLES AND A METHOD OF FORMING A PACKAGING UNIT
A packaging unit for hygiene articles, the unit being formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface, said inner surface comprising an edge portion being provided with a resealable adhesive for closure of the packaging unit. The sheet has a longitudinal center line and at least one transversely extending folding axis dividing the sheet into a first region and a second region. A tab is arranged at an edge portion of the first region. The tab extends in a longitudinal direction from said edge portion so that an extension of the tab along or parallel to the center line from a tab base to an outer edge of the tab is 0.5 cm or more. A method of forming the packaging unit is also provided.
METHOD OF MAKING BAGS WITH VALVE FROM A WEB OF POLYMERIC WOVEN FABRIC AND BAG THEREOF
A method (100) for making a flat bottom bag (800) with a valve (28) is provided. The method (100) includes overlapping and sealing the two longitudinal edges (11a and 11b) of a web (10) to form a continuous tube (12). The method includes cutting-off the continuous tube into tube pieces (14) in accordance with desired bag length such that each tube piece (14) has at least a first open end (18) and a second open end (22). The method (100) includes forming a first pair of flaps (F1, F2) and a second pair of flaps (F3, F4) on the first open end (18) and the second open end (22) respectively. The method (100) includes providing a valve (28) on the second pair of flaps (F3, F4) on the second open end (22). The method (100) includes folding and flattening both the pairs of flaps (F1, F2 and F3, F4) so that the edges of the flaps meet at the centre. The method (100) includes sealing a pre-cut cover patch (30) onto the folded and flattened pairs of flaps (F1, F2 and F3, F4) to close the open ends (18, 22).
A PACKAGING UNIT HAVING IMPROVED SEALING, AND A METHOD FOR FORMING SUCH A PACKAGING UNIT
A packaging unit for hygiene articles is formed from a sheet having a folding axis dividing the sheet into first and second regions. One of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is provided with resealable adhesive, thus forming a first adhesive zone. The other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion is adhesive-free. The inner edge portion or the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region corresponding to the adhesive-carrying edge portion of the first region is adhesive-free, such that when the sheet is folded about the folding axis, the edge portions carrying resealable adhesive in the first region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the second region. A distance between the at least one first folding axis and the first adhesive zone is 1-20 mm.
Method of making an asphalt container
A method of making a one piece, leak proof container for holding and transporting hot melt asphalt. The container is made from a sheet of heavy duty cardboard which is coated on one side, folded and glued to create a leak proof container. The sheet has a series of pre-scored fold lines to allow the sheet to be folded into a container with a leak proof bottom. A series of reinforcing sheets are added to the bottom of the container to provide reinforcement, and to create the leak proof base.
Stand-up bag for pourable goods and method for manufacturing the stand-up bag
A stand-up bag for pourable goods includes a front wall, a back wall coupled to the front wall at a first side edge and an opposite second side edge, and a base fold, wherein the front wall, the back wall, and the base fold are manufactured from a film, and wherein the base fold provides a standing base and is coupled to lower edges of the front wall and the back wall. The bag further includes a bag top situated opposite from the base fold, a closure device, wherein the closure device is attached proximate the bag top, and a carrying handle on the first side edge between the base fold and the bag top, the carrying handle positioned a distance from the base fold and the bag top.
Flexible container with fitment and process for producing same
A flexible container is provided. The flexible container includes four panels. The four panels form (i) a body portion; (ii) a neck portion, and a flare portion that extends from the neck portion; (iii) a tapered transition portion between the body portion and the neck portion; and (iv) the neck portion has a reduced width. The flare portion has an expanded end. The width of the flare portion gradually increases from the neck portion to the expanded end.
METHOD OF HOT AIR SEALING POLYMERIC BAG
The present invention concerns a gusseted flexible bag, a method of manufacturing the bag, and apparatus for manufacture of said bags, closure devices for such bags and method of sealing the bag. In one embodiment, the flexible bag of the present invention is formed from the tube of material having a front side and a rear side. A pair of laterally disposed opposing gusset folds are formed in the tube along its sides. Each of the folds has a longitudinal crease. The bag further has a rear side flap extending from the rear side of the bag across the width of the tube which is folded over onto and hot air sealed to the front side of the tube of material. The gussets each have a slit approximate a first end of the tube thereby forming a front side flap. A front side flap may also be manufactured, if desired, which is then folded over when the rear side flap is folded so that the front side flat rests under the rear side flap. The rear side flap is hot air sealed to the front side of the bag with the front side flap being sealed therebetween. In the preferred embodiment the tube of material comprises polypropylene film on the exterior of the tube and woven polypropylene film on the interior of the tube. In a preferred embodiment the woven polypropylene film on the inner surface of the rear side flap is sealed to the woven polypropylene film on the inside surface of the front side flap.
