The present invention relates to novel sulfoperoxycarboxylic acid compounds, and methods for making and using them. The sulfoperoxycarboxylic compounds of the invention are storage stable, water soluble and have low to no odor. Further, the compounds of the present invention can be formed from non-petroleum based renewable materials. The compounds of the present invention can be used as antimicrobials, and bleaching agents. The compounds of the present invention are also suitable for use as coupling agents.
Compositions comprising recombinant Bacillus cells and another biological control agent
The present invention relates to a composition comprising a) recombinant exosporium-producing Bacillus cells that express a fusion protein comprising: (i) at least one plant growth stimulating protein or peptide and (ii) a targeting sequence that localizes the fusion protein to the exosporium of the Bacillus cells; and b) at least one further biological control agent selected from particular microorganisms disclosed herein and/or a mutant of a specific strain of a microorganism disclosed herein having all identifying characteristics of the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against insects, mites, nematodes and/or phytopathogens in a synergistically effective amount. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for enhancing plant growth, promoting plant health, and/or reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts.
Stable pharmaceutical compositions of succinylcholine chloride
The present invention relates to injectable pharmaceutical compositions comprising therapeutically effective amount of succinylcholine chloride, one or more pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous solvents, and one or more stabilizing agents selected from aliphatic polyols; lower alkyl alcohols; amino acids having at least one additional amino, carboxyl or hydroxyl group; amino alcohols; and aliphatic dicarboxylic acids having at least one hydroxyl or amino group, or - unsaturation. The compositions are stable at room temperature for at least 30 days. Methods of manufacturing the injectable pharmaceutical compositions are also provided. The composition may be provided in a sealed container, e.g., an ampoule, vial and pre-filled syringe, and are suitable for subcutaneous, intravenous or intramuscular administration as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation, and/or to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.
Chemical combinations for attracting Vespidae
Methods and compositions of attractants are described which provide vapor blends of citric acid, malic acid or tartaric acid and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of isobutanol, racemic 2-methyl-1-butanol, S-()-2-methyl-1-butanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, butyl butyrate, hexyl butyrate, heptyl butyrate, octyl butyrate and nonyl butyrate which function as highly effective attractants for yellowjacket wasps and other types of vespidae. By attracting wasps to traps or baits, the chemical attractants provide a means for detecting, surveying, monitoring, capturing, trapping and controlling the wasps.
