ULTRAVIOLET (UV) HEAT-ACTIVATED LAMINATING ADHESIVE FOR AN INKJET PRINTING PROCESS
Apparatus, compositions, and systems for ultraviolet (UV) heat-activated laminating adhesives applied via an inkjet printing process are disclosed. A system includes a first inkjet mechanism configured to deposit ink in a particular pattern onto a surface of a rigid medium. A second inkjet mechanism is configured to deposit a laminating adhesive onto the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium. A pair of stainless steel plates is configured to receive an overlay film layer and the laminating adhesive deposited onto the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium. The overlay film layer is positioned such that a surface of the overlay film layer faces the laminating adhesive. Pressure and heat are applied to the overlay film layer and the laminating adhesive to laminate the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium.
Inline coated biaxially oriented polyethylene foil and method for the production thereof
The present invention relates to a biaxially oriented polyethylene foil (BOPE) comprising layers (A) to (D), wherein layers (B) to (D) contain biaxially oriented polyethylene and layer (A) contains polyurethane and nanoparticles and has a layer thickness of 25 to 300 nm, layer (B) comprises polymers having functional groups which are capable of forming covalent bonds with polyurethane and are directly connected to layer (A), layer (C) has at least a layer thickness of 50% of the total thickness of the foil and layer (D) represents an outer layer of the foil, which contains antiblocking agents. The invention further relates to methods for producing such foils.
Paper label with polymer film reinforcement and method of manufacture
A method for manufacturing a roll of stock material for making a label having a shelf portion with pressure sensitive adhesive and a bib portion with deadened adhesive is provided. The shelf portion includes a layer of polymer. A continuous layer of paper is bonded to a continuous layer of polymer with applied strips of catalyzed adhesive from a roller. Unbonded strips of polymer are kiss-cut and removed to expose the paper between bonded strips of polymer. A continuous layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is applied over the polymer and exposed paper. Strips of deadening agent are applied over the layer of pressure sensitive adhesive that overlays the exposed paper. The pressure sensitive adhesive and deadening agent are cured and a release layer is applied over them.
Mat and Method For Manufacturing The Same
A mat and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The mat includes a first foam layer, a second foam layer and a third foam layer. The first foam layer has a first hardness and a first porosity. The second foam layer is connected with the first foam layer and has a second hardness and a second porosity larger than the first porosity. The third foam layer is connected with the second foam layer and has a third hardness and a third porosity smaller than the first porosity. The second foam layer includes a first connecting surface facing the first foam layer and a second connecting surface facing the third foam layer. The contact area between the first connecting surface and the first foam layer is different from the contact area between the second connecting surface and the third foam layer.
Multilayer Bale Wrap
A bale wrapping system includes an emitter configured to generate electromagnetic radiation within an emitted spectrum and a wrap. The wrap includes a melt layer containing an additive absorbent to at least some electromagnetic radiation within the emitted spectrum and a solid layer substantially free of the additive.
High Permeability Texturing Belt
The instant invention relates to an industrial fabric for producing a textured product, wherein the industrial fabric has a first layer, such as a woven base fabric, and a second layer, such as a film, that extends over at least a portion of a top surface of the first layer. The second layer has macro voids and micro voids. In certain embodiments, the macro voids impart a texture in a fiber product produced on the industrial fabric, whereas the micro voids limit or prevent penetration of the fibers of the product into the micro voids while at the same time increasing permeability of the industrial fabric.
Method for the production of a stack of laminations
In a method for manufacturing lamination stacks of controlled height in a tool, starting material is provided as continuous strip delivered from a coil or as an individual sheet. Laminations are punched from the starting material in several punching steps to a required contour of the laminations. A heat-curing adhesive is applied onto the laminations prior to performing a last punching step. The laminations are combined to a lamination stack. The laminations of the lamination stack are partially or completely heated in a lamination storage. The adhesive is liquefied by heating the lamination stack to build up adhesion and then solidified. Curing the adhesive at the liquefying temperature or solidifying the adhesive in the tool by cooling and subsequently heating the adhesive to a temperature below the liquefying temperature is possible so that the adhesive does not melt but undergoes further curing resulting in higher temperature stability.
Shower Pan
A shower pan and method of manufacture are described. Embodiments of the shower pan can include, but are not limited to, a solid surface top layer and a PET second layer that can be thermoformed, molded, and laminated in a single step. The solid surface top layer can be approximately ⅛″ to ¼″ thick and the PET second layer can be approximately ⅞″ to 1⅛″ thick. The shower pan may further include a third layer being fiberglass.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL LAMINATOR
The utility model discloses a multifunctional laminator, which includes laminator body, corner rounder, hole punch and paper cutter. The top of laminator is set up a storage slot and a cover plate for covering the storage slot, and the first slot is set up in the storage slot, there is a convexity at the end of the first slot to form the second slot. The utility model multifunctional laminator that corner rounder, hole punch and paper cutter are assembled on laminator, so that laminator machine can integrate with laminating, cutting, punching and cutting corner to improve the function of laminator, make it diversified, and flexible in use; in addition, storage slot is set up on the top of laminator, so that laminator is viewed as a whole from the outside, the appearance of multifunctional laminator is beautiful, simple, and reasonable structure.
