Sealing products for individual wells in multi-well arrays
A heat sealing product suitable for sealing one or more individual containers, the heat sealing product comprising: (i) a plurality of individual heat seals set out in a configuration substantially corresponding to the shape and configuration of the container(s) to be sealed, the size and shape of the individual heat seals corresponding substantially to the size and shape of the tops of the individual container(s) to be sealed; (ii) a peelable support film layer coated on one side with a low tack adhesive, the low tack adhesive serving to hold the individual heat seals in place on the support film layer in the desired configuration prior to the sealing process; (iii) alignment points in the sealing product adapted to enable the heat sealing product and therefore the individual heat seals of the heat sealing product to be aligned substantially exactly with respect to the individual containers to be sealed.
USE OF FIBRE COMPOSITE MATERIAL HAVING SANDWICH STRUCTURE AND FOAM COMPONENT
The use of a fibre composite material W having a sandwich structure, constructed from: A) a thermoplastic material layer w, containing as components: a) a thermoplastic moulding compound A as a matrix, b) a ply made from reinforcing fibres B, and c) optionally additive C, wherein the ply of reinforcing fibres B is embedded in the matrix of the thermoplastic moulding compound A, and, in the production of the material layer w, the thermoplastic moulding compound A comprises at least one chemically reactive functionality, which reacts with chemical groups of the surface of the reinforcing fibres B; and B) a further thermoplastic layer T and/or a foam layer S, wherein said further layer T and/or S is permanently connected to the material layer w; provides increased mechanical stability for the production of moulded parts.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

EXTRUSION-COATED STRUCTURAL MEMBERS HAVING EXTRUDED PROFILE MEMBERS
The present disclosure relates to extrusion-coated structural systems including at least one extruded profile member coupled to and extending outwardly from an extrusion-coated structural member, as well as methods of making and using the same. Structural systems of the present invention that include at least one extruded profile member may exhibit enhanced flexibility, functionality, and/or durability. Structural systems according to embodiments of the present invention can be suitable for use in a variety of applications, including in ready-to-assemble furniture or cabinetry applications or as building and construction materials such as wall board, flooring, trim, and the like.
Polyethylene-based resin foam sheet
A polyethylene-based resin foam sheet with density of 15 to 150 kg/m.sup.3, including a foam layer containing, as a base resin, polyethylene-based resin, and antistatic layer which is lamination bonded to at least one side of the foam layer containing a polymeric antistatic agent and, as base resin, polyethylene-based resin, wherein polymeric antistatic agent melting point of 125 to 140 C. and ratio of its partial heat of fusion in a region above melting point to its total heat of fusion of 40% or lower, wherein antistatic layer contains the polymeric antistatic agent of 45 to 300 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the polyethylene-based resin constituting the antistatic layer, wherein antistatic layer has a weight of 1 to 50 g/m.sup.2, and antistatic layer shows initial electrostatic potential of 50 V or lower when a voltage of 10 kV is applied to a surface for 30 seconds.
Transparent, biaxially oriented polyester film with smooth surface on one side and with good windability
The invention relates to an at least three-layer biaxially oriented polyester film including at least one base layer B, one rough outer layer A and one smooth outer layer C, where the layers A and C are external layers arranged on opposing surfaces of the base layer B. The outer layer A includes calcium carbonate particles. The outer layer C includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles (where the percentage by weight data are based on the weight of the layer). The polyester used to produce all of the layers includes no 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic-acid-derived units as repeating units. The entire film includes less than 0.3% by weight (based on the weight of the entire film) of particles. The invention further relates to processes for producing the film, and also to use of the latter as process film for the provision of surface properties, in particular for furniture surfaces.
