COATED CLOSED-CELL FOAM TUBE INSULATIONS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Provided is an insulation product, optionally in a tubular form, that includes a coated foam insulation layer, where the foam insulation layer has a closed-cell structure. The coating can comprise a thermoplastic elastomer that seamlessly covers and is bonded to an outer surface of the elastomeric foam layer in the absence of an adhesive bonding material to protect the foam insulation layer, e.g., during outdoor insulation applications. A pipe where the insulation product is installed is also provided, as is a method of installing the insulation product, and a method of producing the insulation product.
COMPOSITE MATERIALS, METHODS OF MAKING, METHODS OF USE, AND ARTICLES INCORPORATING THE COMPOSITE MATERIALS
The present disclosure provides for articles including a structure having one or more channels that allow water to contact a water-swellable material. Absorption of water by the water-swellable material causes the topography of the outward-facing surface (10) of the structure to be altered, which can improve traction (95). The structure described herein can be used to make and/or be incorporated into various types of articles or components of articles. The article can be an article of footwear (100, 1, 75), a component of an article of footwear (100, 1, 75), an article of apparel, a component of an article of apparel, an article of sporting equipment, or a component of an article of sporting equipment.
Composite sound absorption panel assembly
A composite panel assembly includes first and second elastic membranes and a structure. The structure has a first side mounted to the first elastic membrane and a second side mounted to the second elastic membrane. The structure includes a first honeycomb layer, a second honeycomb layer, and a plurality of necks. The first honeycomb layer has partition walls defining resonance cavities that are covered by the first elastic membrane along the first side. The second honeycomb layer has partition walls defining resonance cavities that are covered by the second elastic membrane along the second side. The necks are disposed between and connect the first and second honeycomb layers. Each neck defines a channel that is fluidly connected to a corresponding one of the resonance cavities of the first honeycomb layer and a corresponding one of the resonance cavities of the second honeycomb layer.
LAMINATE
An object of the present invention is to provide a laminate of an olefin-type rubber, which is non-polar or has a small polarity and which is difficult to bond with a different material, and a rubber comprising Group 15 elements, which is a different kind of rubber. The laminate according to the present invention includes a structure including, in order, an olefin-type rubber layer (A); an adhesive resin layer (B) containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, a silane-modified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof, and an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof; and a layer (C) containing a rubber containing Group 15 elements.
LAMINATE PRODUCTION METHOD
A method for producing a laminate including a substrate and a rubber layer, the rubber layer having a thickness of 200 m or more from the surface of the substrate, the method including contacting the substrate in a heated state with a polymer latex having a viscosity of 2,000 to 100,000 mPa.Math.s at 25 C. to thereby coagulate the polymer in contact therewith to form the rubber layer.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LAMINATE, AND LAMINATE
To provide a laminate excellent in alkali resistance and interlaminar strength at high temperature, and a process for producing the laminate.
A process for producing a laminate, comprising producing a non-crosslinked laminate having a layer of a first composition containing a copolymer having fluorine atoms and a layer of a second composition containing a non-fluorinated elastic polymer, and crosslinking the first composition and the second composition to produce a laminate having a first layer formed of a crosslinked product of the first composition and a second layer formed of a crosslinked product of the second composition, wherein when the first composition and the second composition contains a common crosslinking aid, the absolute value of the crosslinking rate difference between the first composition and the second composition is at most 0.30.
Washable Carpet Tile
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.
Wetsuit Garment Fabricated as Reinforcedly Joined by High-Elasticity Joining Member
A method for fabricating wetsuit garment including wetsuits, boots and gloves for water sports uses, comprising preparation of at least a high-elasticity joining member made of hot melt adhesive, and joining at least two interconnected panels of rubber foam or sponge by the high-elasticity joining member to cover and seal the seam between the two interconnected panels for firmly bonding the two interconnected panels for making a strong, elastic and flexible wetsuit garment.
