Sealing device with improved adhesion

The present invention relates to a sealing device (1) which comprises a barrier layer (2) with a thermoplastic polymer P1, and an adhesive layer (3) with at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) P2 and azo-dicarbonamide A, and which is suitable for sealing bases in the building sector. The invention further relates to a method for sealing said bases. The method according to the invention allows structures of civil engineering to be sealed rapidly and efficiently and ensures good adhesion of the sealing device on the base.

Roofing product including a ceramic base material and recycled roofing material

A roofing product can include a ceramic base material and a recycled roofing material. In a particular embodiment, an open structure of the ceramic base material is filled with a bituminous material that has no greater than approximately 5 weight % of abrasive particles or 0.1 weight % metal content. The recycled roofing material can be disposed along one or both sides of the ceramic base material. The bituminous material may have a characteristic particle size that is smaller than a characteristic particle size of the recycled roofing material. In another embodiment, the roofing product having the recycled roofing material can have tear strength characteristics as compared to a different roofing product having a substantially the same construction but having abrasive particles embedded within the ceramic base material.

SHINGLE WITH REINFORCED NAIL ZONE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING

A method of making a laminated shingle is provided. The method includes coating a shingle mat with roofing asphalt to make an asphalt-coated sheet, adhering a reinforcement member to a portion of the asphalt-coated sheet, covering the asphalt-coated sheet, and optionally covering the reinforcement member, with granules to make a granule-covered sheet, dividing the granule-covered sheet into an overlay sheet and an underlay sheet, wherein the overlay sheet has a tab portion normally exposed on a roof and a headlap portion normally covered-up on a roof, the headlap portion having a lower zone adjacent the tab portion and an upper zone adjacent the lower zone, and wherein the reinforcement member is adhered to the lower zone of the headlap portion and laminating the overlay sheet and the underlay sheet to make the laminated shingle.

Shingle with reinforcement layer

A shingle, a method of making it, and a roof embodying the shingle is provided, in which an exterior surface of the shingle is provided with an attached reinforcement layer through which fasteners may be applied when the shingle is applied to a roof.

Sealing device with improved adhesion

The present invention relates to a sealing device (1) comprising a barrier layer (2) and an adhesive layer (3), and which is suitable for sealing bases in the building sector. The adhesive layer comprises a polymer P2, the polymer P2 being polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or a copolymer of ethylene and propylene, and a polyolefin-based polymer P3, the polymer P3 having at least one functional group which is selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acids, OH-groups, anhydrides, acetates and glycidyl methacrylate, and azo-dicarbonamide A. The invention further relates to a method for sealing the said bases. The method according to the invention allows structures of civil engineering to be sealed rapidly and efficiently and ensures good adhesion of the sealing device on the base.

Shingles with increased hydrophobicity

A shingle includes a substrate having an asphalt coating on a top surface of the substrate and on a bottom surface of the substrate. A surface layer of granules is embedded in the asphalt on the top surface of the substrate. A backdust layer of particles is embedded in the asphalt on the bottom surface of the substrate. A sealant is disposed on the backdust. A hydrophobic material is applied to the sealant.

Self-adhesive waterproof coiled material of super-strong cross laminated film and preparation process

The present invention relates to a self-adhesive waterproof coiled material of a super-strong cross laminated film, comprising sequentially from top to bottom: an isolation protection layer, a non-asphalt-based self-adhesive layer, a strong cross laminated film, an asphalt self-adhesive layer and a PE isolation film. One side of the upper surface of the coiled material is provided with an overlap edge, and the other side of the lower surface of the coiled material is also provided with an overlap edge. The waterproof coiled material provided in the present invention has better adhesive property with post-cast concrete than an asphalt-based coiled material, and can be better bonded to a main body structure (i.e., pre-paving anti-sticking coiled material); the strong cross laminated film in the middle of the coiled material has good ductility, so that when the base layer slightly subsides or the main body structure is slightly deformed, the coiled material can continue to be well bonded to the main body structure and would not be separated; and a good waterproof effect thus can be achieved.
