A recyclable film contains a base film of polyethylene that has been oriented, annealed, and irradiatively crosslinked, and a sealant. The base film has a free shrink rate of less than 10% in both the machine direction and the transverse direction when exposed to heat of 90° C. These recyclable films are ideal for use as packaging components that can be hermetically heat sealed to themselves or other packaging components, while maintaining low shrink and excellent appearance.

A thermal insulation cover for a pool, and an above-ground pool are provided. The thermal insulation cover comprises: a side wall portion, which is annular and is adapted to surround a wall of a pool; and a top cover portion comprising an outer circumference connected to a top circumference of the side wall portion. An aluminium capsule body is inserted into a moulding cavity of a mould conformed and arranged for the overmoulding of a safety ring on an edge of an annular wall of the capsule body. An annular sealing zone is defined for the synthetic plastic material between a first surface of the capsule body and a mould first portion inserted into the central cavity of the capsule body to form a safety ring anchored to the capsule body.

A multilayer plastic film or sheet having a series of component layers and optional bonding layers tying said component layers together is provided. The multilayer film or sheet comprises a central barrier layer comprising first and second layers of polyvinylidene chloride polymer bonded together with a tie or bonding layer, an outer layer adjacent to an outer side of the first PVDC layer, and a sealant layer adjacent to an outer side of the second PVDC layer.

A package for a flexible polyvinyl chloride product has a heat scalable product contact layer comprising a cyclic olefin copolymer, the cyclic olefin copolymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 40 C. After extended storage of the polyvinyl chloride polymer in direct contact with the heat sealable product contact layer of the packaging, the product releases from the heat scalable product contact layer easily without significant tackiness.
