METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELASTIC LAMINATE, AND LAMINATE OBTAINABLE ACCORDING TO SAID METHOD
A method for producing an elastic laminate with at least a first top layer and an elastic film, wherein the first top layer is fed along a production direction to a first stretching device, is subsequently stretched transverse to the production direction by means of the first stretching device and is puckered, and is either connected to an extrusion web provided for forming the elastic film such that the top layer is connected to the extrusion web only by portions facing the melt web or is connected to a pre-produced elastic film in that the elastic film is at least incipiently melted on its side facing the first top layer, the first top layer is pressed against the at least incipiently melted side of the elastic film only by portions, and is therefore at least partially embedded in a polymer matrix of the elastic film.
DENTAL ALIGNERS
Disclosed herein are thermoplastic and thermoset composite materials, which may be used to generate dental appliances such as dental aligners, and methods of preparation and manufacture.
Monolithic breathable film and composite manufactured therefrom
Breathable multilayer films suitable for a wide variety of uses (e.g., protective apparel, surgical gowns, surgical drapes, aprons, roofing material, house wrap, etc.) are disclosed. The breathable multilayer film may include a monolithic core layer. The monolithic core layer may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer. The breathable multilayer film may also include at least one skin layer. The skin layer or layers may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer, a filler, and a non-breathable material. An exemplary structure of the breathable multilayer film provides a monolithic core layer, a first skin layer on one side of the monolithic core layer, and a second skin layer on the other side of the monolithic core layer. An exemplary construction of one or both of the skin layers includes one or more highly breathable polymers, a filler, and a non-breathable material. The filler, for example, may comprise calcium carbonate.
FLEXIBLE PROXIMITY SENSORS INCORPORATING NANOCOMPOSITE MATERIALS, METHODS OF PRODUCING THE SAME, AND METHODS OF MEASURING SENSITIVITY OF THE SAME
Sensors, methods of producing sensors, and methods of measuring sensitivities of sensors are disclosed herein. A sensor includes a nanocomposite material having a thermoplastic polyurethane base. A method of producing a sensor includes embedding a plurality of carbon nanotubes into a thermoplastic polyurethane base and diluting a concentration of the plurality of carbon nanotubes embedded into the thermoplastic polyurethane base.
MUCOSAL TISSUE MODEL
A mucosal tissue model which, by being provided with a simulated blood vessel and/or a pseudo abdominal cavity layer, reproduces hemorrhages and/or perforations that become problems in actual resections and dissections better than conventional organ models.
Nonwoven Fabrics Suitable for Medical Applications
Nonwoven fabrics including a first spunbond layer comprising a first plurality of crimped continuous fibers, a second spunbond layer comprising a second plurality of crimped continuous fibers, and a third spunbond layer comprising a third plurality of crimped continuous fibers, in which the second spunbond layer is located directly or indirectly between the first spunbond layer and the third spunbond layer is provided. The nonwoven fabrics may have a thickness (e.g., loftiness) of at least about 0.3 mm and hydrostatic head of at least about 15 mbar. Methods of manufacturing nonwoven fabrics and protective articles are also provided.
Therapeutic tape
The invention relates to a therapeutic adhesive tape for use in medical or sporting applications. The therapeutic tape is configured to be applied to the skin of a user. The tape comprising: a base layer having a face side and a back side, the base layer being composed of a combination of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (hereinafter: RPET) and an elastic material, and an adhesive layer deposited on one of said face side or back side of the base layer for attaching the tape to the skin of the user.
Syringe nest assembly
A syringe nest assembly includes a base having a first surface and an opposing second surface and a first plate movably coupled to the base. The base includes a plurality of nesting units extending upwardly away from the first surface of the base. Each nesting unit includes a hollow body having a first open end distal from the first surface of the base and an opposing second open end. The first plate has a first surface and an opposing second surface. The first plate includes a plurality of apertures extending from the first surface to the second surface of the first plate. Each aperture of the first plate is generally aligned with a respective nesting unit of the base.
Dental multi-colored milling blank
A dental multi-colored milling blank having at least two layers (16), a transition zone, where material from both layers is present. In the transition zone, a transition geometry exists that extends three-dimensionally. The transition geometry comprises round surfaces facing towards both directions of extension of the layers.
ELASTIC FILM LAMINATES WITH FILM MADE IN A CALENDARING PROCESS
Disclosed is a process for creating an elastic film or sheet by calendaring a composition, including a polymer and a fabric. The composition may include a polymer, a cotton, or a combination of both. The calendared composition can form tough, flexible films and sheets. The film and sheet can have optical and physical properties that make them suitable as a replacement for some PVC films. Also disclosed is a composition for calendaring including a fabric and a polymer.
