Binding component
A binding component includes ring back portions, first ring arm portions, second ring arm portions and a back part to which the ring back portions are connected. Each ring back portion, each first ring arm portion and each second ring arm portion forms an annular ring part. Each ring part includes fitting portions at places where the ring back portion and the first and second ring arm portions are connected. The fitting portions are configured to be fitted by an operation of opening and closing the first and second ring arm portions with hinge portions of the ring back portion. Each fitting portion includes at least one first fitting convex portion, at least one first fitting concave portion to engage with the first fitting convex portion, at least one second fitting convex portion and a second fitting concave portion to engage with the second fitting convex portion.
Method and device for providing attachment points for a folder
A device for providing attachment points for a folder has a layer of material with an inside surface and an outside surface. The inside surface folds onto itself to form a doubled layer having a folded edge and a cut out section. A supporting segment at or near the folded edge closes the cut out section into an aperture for receiving a closing mechanism of a binder. The device is adhered to the inside of a folder at the folder openings arranged to receive the binder's closing mechanism. When the reinforced folded folder is mounted into a binder, both sides of the folded folder press against the attachment device to contain the attachment device in the folder, and the supporting segment presses against the closing mechanism to contain the folder in the binder.
Sheet processing device and image forming device provided with the sheet processing device
A sheet processing device performs saddle stitching binding a bundle of stacked paper sheets, and includes a stacker section temporarily stacking conveyed paper sheets substantially vertically; a stopper regulating the paper sheets stacked in the stacker section; a first binding section provided in the stacker and saddle-stitching a paper sheet bundle regulated by the stopper at a binding position around a center of the paper sheet bundle in a sheet conveying direction; a folding section folding in half the paper sheet bundle regulated by the stopper; and a conveying section conveying the paper sheet bundle that has been folded in half by the folding section with a back side of the folded paper sheet bundle as a leading end in the conveying direction. The conveying section includes a second binding section binding the folded paper sheet bundle at the back side thereof.
Reinforced pocket device
A pocket device including a first major panel and a second major panel coupled together along a major fold line. The pocket device includes a first pocket panel coupled to the first major panel and defining a first pocket with the first major panel, the first pocket panel having an edge positioned adjacent to a mouth of the first pocket. The pocket device further includes a second pocket panel coupled to the second major panel and defining a second pocket with the second major panel, the second pocket panel having an edge positioned adjacent to a mouth of the second pocket. The pocket device has a first reinforcing material positioned on the first pocket panel adjacent to the mouth of the first pocket, wherein the first reinforcing material is spaced apart from the edge of the first pocket panel. The pocket device further has a second reinforcing material positioned on the second pocket panel adjacent to the mouth of the second pocket, wherein the second reinforcing material is spaced apart from the edge of the second pocket panel.
PAPER BINDING DEVICE
A paper binding device is configured to hold a plurality of paper sheets together utilizing aligned holes formed in each of the plurality of sheets. A plurality of bendable extensions extend from at least one flat first surface of a first elongated part. Each of the plurality of bendable extensions includes two cylindrically-shaped posts disposed adjacent to one another and separated by a gap. A plurality of bridges connect the two cylindrically-shaped posts along the gap. A second part includes a plurality of through apertures which are disposed from at least one flat second surface through to an opposite surface. A plurality of elongated channels are openly formed in the opposite surface. The plurality of bendable extensions are fitted through the plurality of through apertures and are configured to be manipulated by a user to bend and lock into the plurality of elongated channels.
Sheet processing device and image forming device provided with the sheet processing device
A sheet processing device performs saddle stitching binding a bundle of stacked paper sheets, and includes a stacker section temporarily stacking conveyed paper sheets substantially vertically; a stopper regulating the paper sheets stacked in the stacker section; a first binding section provided in the stacker and saddle-stitching, with a metallic staple, a paper sheet bundle regulated by the stopper at a binding position around a center of the paper sheet bundle in a sheet conveying direction; a second binding section saddle-stitching, without using the metallic staple, the paper sheet bundle being regulated by the stopper at the binding position around the center of the paper sheet bundle in the sheet conveying direction; and a folding section folding in half the paper sheet bundle regulated by the stopper at a folding position at which the paper sheet bundle is bound by the first binding section or second binding section.
Media binder
A media binder, comprising: a front surface board, at least one spine board, and a back surface board, wherein each board comprises an inwardly facing surface and an outwardly facing surface; a cover sheet wrapped around the outwardly facing surface of the spine board and a portion of a surface cover sheet, the surface cover sheet wrapped around the outwardly facing surface of at least one surface board and comprises a first marginal edge attached to the inwardly facing surface of the at least one surface board and a second marginal edge unattached to the inwardly facing surface of the at least one surface board; at least one spring clamp to secure physical media inserted between clamp edges of the at least one spring clamp; and a tension sheet attached to the at least one spring clamp and the inwardly facing surface of the at least one surface board.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a sheet processing device including a first teeth portion, a second teeth portion that clamps and binds a sheet bundle with the first teeth portion, a first support portion supporting the first teeth portion, a shaft, and a second support portion supporting the second teeth portion. The second support portion includes first and second arm members integrally supported to be capable of swinging around the shaft between a binding position in which the second teeth portion clamps and binds the sheet bundle with the first teeth portion and a standby position in which the second teeth portion is apart from the first teeth portion. The second arm member is provided over the first arm member so as to cover a part of the first arm member.

Arrangements and assembly methods for a media binder and its components
A media binder has an inner assembly and a case assembly, The inner assembly includes inside boards pre-attached to a binding mechanism. Adhesive is placed on outward surfaces of the inside boards. The case assembly includes a cover sheet with at least one marginal edge attached to surface boards and at least one loose edge. To customize cover, a printed cover is inserted in-between the cover sheet and the surface board through an opening formed by the loose edge. The case assembly is then laminated. The laminated case assembly is combined with the inner assembly using the adhesive on the inside boards. A one-piece media binder has cover sheets wrapping around surface boards forming pockets. The surface boards are partially attached to paste downs. To customize cover, printed covers are inserted into the pockets, and the paste downs are then attached to the surface boards to seal loose edges.
