Honeycomb rim-type wheel
The present invention relates to a wheel having a rim portion including an air-tight rim formed in a cylindrical shape, and a protruded grid portion having a plurality of first recesses by being protruded from and equally spaced around the circumference of the air-tight rim. In this way, the honeycomb rim-type wheel can be readily manufactured to have lightweight using a single casting without sacrificing durability thanks to the protruded grid portion on the circumference of the air-tight rim, thereby reducing time and cost for manufacturing by reduced usage of molten metal.
BICYCLE WHEEL
A bicycle wheel includes: a hub with a hub spindle and two ears disposed on the hub spindle, the hub spindle having an axial direction; a wheel frame having a connecting portion; and a plurality of spokes each having a connecting section and two support sections, wherein the connecting section of each of the spokes is inserted through the connecting portion and divided along the axial direction into a first side and a second side, one of the two support sections is connected to the first side and one of the ears, another of the two support sections is connected to the second side and another of the ears, and the two support sections are arranged along the axial direction.
COMPOSITE BICYCLE RIM
A rim for a bicycle wheel includes a radially inner portion disposed along an inner circumference of the rim. The rim also includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall extend radially outward from the radially inner portion. The first sidewall includes a layer of a composite material. The layer of the composite material includes fabric plies of the composite material that are shaped as strips. The composite material includes a matrix of a polymer-based material and fibers of a reinforcing material. The strips include a first strip and a second strip. The second strip is adjacent to the first strip within the layer of the composite material. The second strip is nonparallel to the first strip.
COMPOSITE BICYCLE RIM
A rim for a bicycle wheel includes a radially inner portion disposed along an inner circumference of the rim, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall spaced apart form the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall extend radially outward from the radially inner portion. The radially inner portion includes a stack of strips of material. The stack of strips includes a plurality of strips and a hole through the plurality of strips. The plurality of strips are nonparallel to each other. The plurality of strips are positioned about the hole through the plurality of strips.
Bicycle wheels
A wheel for use with a bicycle includes a hub for mounting the wheel to a bicycle, a rim about which a tire is mountable, and a plurality of spokes that extend between the hub and the rim. The rim and/or one or more of the spokes have a leading and/or trailing edge, at least part of which has an undulating configuration.
Bicycle rim and wheel having inner protrusions
A rim for a bicycle wheel includes a radially outer tire-engaging portion, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall. The first and second sidewalls may extend radially inward of the radially outer tire-engaging portion. The rim includes a radially inner portion having at least one asymmetric protrusion.
Wheel unit
In order to improve a wheel unit for a bicycle, comprising a hub and a wheel rim, which is arranged rotatably about an axis of rotation, wherein the hub and the wheel rim are connected to one another by spokes, it is proposed to arrange a brake disc and a sensor ring, which comprises a sensing region, on the hub and to position the sensing region between the brake disc and the spokes.
WHEELS FOR NON-MOTORIZED VEHICLES
A wheel for a non-motorized vehicle (e.g., a shopping cart) can include a housing assembly and a tread assembly. The housing assembly can be configured to sealingly house electronics or other components. The tread assembly can removably mate with the housing assembly such that the electronics or other components remain closed and/or sealed within the housing assembly when the tread assembly is mated or unmated with the housing assembly.
Wheel unit
In order to improve a wheel unit for a bicycle, comprising a hub and a wheel rim, which is arranged rotatably about an axis of rotation, wherein the hub and the wheel rim are connected to one another by spokes, it is proposed to arrange a brake disc and a sensor ring comprising a sensing region on the hub and to arrange the sensor ring adjacent to the brake disc.
Spoked human-powerable vehicle wheel with user-removable hub and plurality of conical hub-to-annulus attachment elements
A wheel for a bicycle, or other human powerable vehicle, has a hub that includes: (a) an axle for attachment to a bicycle frame; (b) a set of bearings that connect the axle to a rotating sleeve; and (c) at least three connection points fixedly connected to the rotating sleeve. The connection points are used to detachably attach an annular module to the hub using attachment elements that each comprise conical frustum surfaces. The attachment elements are configured to axially press a portion of the hub to a portion of the annular module, as well as radially aligning the hub to the annular module. The annular module also has a set of spoke attachment points configured for tensioned spokes that connect the annular module to a wheel rim. The spoke attachment points are in a circular configuration on two parallel offset planes that are perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rim.
