Wheelset measurement device for wheelsets of rail vehicles

A wheelset measurement device (1) for the wheelsets (2) of rail vehicles is used to check the wheelsets (2) of rail vehicles for an operationally safe state and for meeting the operating limit measures when built into the rail vehicles. In order to facilitate such checks with comparatively little effort and high reliability, the wheelset measurement device (1) has two separate device subunits (7,8) that can be displaced individually and which each can be pushed laterally against the wheelset (2) and be arranged in the position pushed against the wheelset (2).

Multi-Part, Sprung Rail Wheel
20190255880 · 2019-08-22 ·

The present invention relates to a multi-part rail wheel with a wheel tyre, a wheel body, an elastic body arranged between the wheel tyre and the wheel body and via which the wheel tyre is supported on the wheel body, and at least one clamping element attached to the wheel body from one end face, via which the elastic body is braced against the wheel body and the wheel tyre by clamping means acting on the wheel body, the wheel body consisting of a light metal material in the region where the clamping means act. The rail wheel guarantees secure bracing of the components with simple assembly and disassembly. This is achieved by at least one counter-bearing element being provided on the end face of the wheel body opposite the clamping element. The counter-bearing element consists of a material which has a higher strength than the wheel body material.

Wheel system, in particular for a crane

The invention relates to a wheel system having a running wheel and a support body which at least partially surrounds the running wheel and in which the running wheel is mounted and from which the running wheel projects in order to come into contact with a rail. In order to allow predictive maintenance of the wheel system with a low inspection effort, it is proposed that a mechanical device for detecting and/or determining wear on the running wheel is mounted on the support body.

Automated packing cart

Embodiments relate to a cart assembly having a lower deck, an upper deck, and a gantry. The lower deck has designated areas for empty containers and for filled containers. The gantry includes a gripper system configured to grab at least one container from the empty-container staging area and transport it to a receiving site, where a crop harvesting apparatus deposits a crop in the container. Once the container is filled, the gantry moves the filled container so as to position it within a filled-container staging area of the lower deck. The gripper system then releases the container. The process is continued while the cart assembly is transported throughout a crop harvesting facility to harvest crops.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF FORMING A WEAR SURFACE FOR A WHEEL OF A RAIL VEHICLE

A system and a method of forming a wear surface of a wheel of a rail vehicle include depositing one or more alloy powders onto a main body of the wheel, and plasma transfer arc welding the one or more powders to form one or more alloy layers secured to the main body.

Wheel set for a rail vehicle
10370009 · 2019-08-06 · ·

A wheel set for a rail vehicle, in particular for a locomotive, includes two track wheels which are connected by a wheel axle mounted in two wheel set bearings. Each wheel set bearing includes a cast bearing housing, which is closed by an outer housing cover and an inner pressure ring. In addition, the bearing housing has a clamping position for engaging a tensioning device of a machine tool for machining the wheel set. Since the clamping position is integrated in the pressure ring, the clamping position can be easily cut to size and the bearing housing can be produced in a weight-optimized and cost-effective way in comparison to known bearing housings.

SYSTEM FOR REPROFILING A WHEEL SET OF A RAILWAY VEHICLE

A system for reprofiling a wheel set of a railway vehicle allows the center of rotation of the wheel set to move relative to supporting rollers. A cutting tool used to reprofile the wheel profile on a wheel set is moved relative to the center of rotation of the wheel set to maintain a constant distance between the center of rotation and the cutter. The system avoids mechanically forcing a constant location of the wheel set relative to the center of rotation.

Axle of wheel sets and respective method for the ultrasound inspection
10336350 · 2019-07-02 · ·

An axle of railway wheel sets and a corresponding method for the ultrasound inspection are described. A blind hole, coaxial to the axle and sized to accommodate an ultrasonic probe, is obtained in each end of the axle. Main holes are intended to accommodate the probe holder containing a plurality of ultrasonic transducers for the inspection of the axle from the inside of the hole. The main advantage is to facilitate the propagation of the ultrasounds without being subjected to the interference caused by the geometric discontinuities normally present at the ends of the axles thereby minimizing false positives in the readings of the echoes.
