A rail wheel set for a car which can be moved on a rail of a rail system has a bearing housing with a radial suspension for connecting the rail wheel set to the car, and two running wheels which are rotatably mounted on the bearing housing. Each wheel has a respective rail rolling surface, the shape of which is adapted to the contour of a running surface of the rail, and a respective ground rolling surface. The wheels can roll independently of each other on the running surface of the rail or on the ground. The rail wheel set is secured to a chassis of a car for transporting objects on a rail system.

A wheel includes a boss, a rim, and a web. A rim-width center is positioned on a flange side of the rim with respect to a boss-width center. A plate-thickness center line of the web has a linear shape when the wheel is viewed in a longitudinal section. The plate-thickness center line is inclined with respect to a radial direction of the wheel in such a way as to be farther from the flange as the plate-thickness center line extends outward in the radial direction. When a distance in an axial direction of the wheel from a side face of the rim to an outer end of the plate-thickness center line is taken as Pw and a length of the rim in the axial direction is taken as Wr, Pw/Wr is less than 0.40.

The soundproofing device (3) is provided with: a fixing ring (10) which is fitted in and fixed to a groove (8) formed in the inner peripheral surface (6); a first elastic body section (11A) which is stuck to an outer peripheral surface (10a) of the fixing ring (10), is disposed within the groove (8), and has a plurality of first elastic body pieces; an additional mass section (12) which is stuck to a side of the first elastic body section (11A) opposite to the fixing ring (10), is disposed within the groove (8), and has a plurality of additional mass pieces; and a second elastic body section (11B) which is stuck to a side of the additional mass section (12) opposite to the first elastic body section (11A), is disposed within the groove (8), and has a plurality of second elastic body pieces. The soundproofing device (3) includes a plurality of dynamic vibration absorbers. Each of the dynamic vibration absorbers has first and second elastic body pieces and an additional mass piece. A computing unit calculates a difference between maximum and minimum values of the height displacement of the frictional surface by acquiring measurement data from the first displacement gauge, calculates a difference between the maximum and minimum values of the height displacement of the rim's surface by acquiring measurement data from the second displacement gauge, and derives a difference between the both calculated differences as brake disc undulation.

The damper has a damping connector and a damping ring which has an open section; the end of the open section has an angled plane; the damping connector has a pipe-shaped object with two locating objects at the both ends; the locating object has a bar which can get into the pipe-shaped object and a wedge-shaped object which matches the angled plane of the end of the open section; inside the pipe-shaped object is a spring which can push out the two locating objects; each locating object has a locating hole which allows a bar to get through from the pipe-shaped object.
