Wheel assembly

A wheel for a pneumatic tire has a rim with one monolithic bead seat and a removable beat seat. The removable bead seat has two halves that embrace the rim and engage a groove to retain the tire. The removable bead seat may have a second lip either monolithically formed or as a part of a separate retainer that bolts to the bead seat. The wheel may be made from aluminum alloy.

TIRE RIM
20170080750 · 2017-03-23 ·

A tire rim assembly having two cylindrical bodies, each with a diameter approximately the same as the interior diameter of a tire. On the front body, are found an outer edge on one side and bolt receiving means on the opposite site and alignment holes. On the back body is found an outer edge, bolt receiving means that run across the entire length of the back body, are located on the interior of the body and are placed equidistant around the body. Each bolt receiving means aligns with a complimentary bolt receiving means on the front body. The back body also has alignment pegs that fit into the alignment holes of the front body for proper alignment of the front and back bodies. Holes on the hub, located on the front body permit placement of the tire and tire rim assembly onto an axle of an automobile or other wheeled device.

QUICK RELEASE APPARATUS FOR BICYCLE TIRE OR TUBE

A quick release apparatus for a bicycle tire or tube is provided, which reduces time and effort spent in changing the tire or tube. A main wheel frame and a sub wheel frame are provided. These two frames with rim respectively can be assembled to construct a complete wheel frame set. When said main wheel frame connects with the sub wheel frame, it provides a complete rim with two walls for containing the tube. When said main wheel frame leaves said sub wheel frame, it generates a gap between these two frames for removing the tube easily.

TIRE RIM STRUCTURE AND TIRE
20170066285 · 2017-03-09 ·

A tire rim structure including an annular inner ring (2) provided on the inner ring of a tire body (1) and a circular outer ring (3) provided on the outside of the tire body (1), fixedly connected to the annular inner ring (2), and formed by stamping. The annular inner ring (2) includes an annular inner ring body (21) formed by extrusion, an annular left ring (22) provided at one side of the annular inner ring body (21) and formed by extrusion, and an annular right ring (23) provided at the other side of the annular inner ring body (21), connected to the circular outer ring (3), and formed by extrusion. A shaft hole (31) is provided at the middle part of the circular outer ring (3). By breaking down a tire rim into the annular inner ring body (21), the left ring (22), the right ring (23), and the outer ring (3) connected to the right ring, each of the components composing the tire rim can be processed and formed via extrusion or stamping processes, this provides increased consistency compared with an existing tire rim that is integrally processed and formed via a casting process, thus allowing for increased structural strength and simplified manufacturing process.

Wheel with motor and vehicle braking device

A wheel assembly (1) for a vehicle, uncommonly capable of a compact construction and ease of maintenance, comprises: A wheel rim (2) suitable to rotate around an axis of rotation (a-a), defining an axial direction (A-A) parallel or coincident with said axis of rotation (a-a), an orthogonal radial direction (R-R), and a circumferential direction locally coincident with a tangential direction (T-T) orthogonal to the axial direction (A-A) and the radial direction (R-R), said wheel rim (2) having a radially outer side, or outer side (3), opposite the axis of rotation (a-a), and a radially inner side, or inner side (4), facing the axis of rotation (a-a), said rim being suitable to receive externally a tyre (5), and wherein said wheel rim forms internally a cylindrical chamber of the rim (54) delimited radially from said inner side (4); a motor (306) comprising a rotor (307) and a stator (308); said rotor (307) being supported, free to rotate, on said stator (308); said stator being fixed to a stator support (120); said motor (306) being housed in the said cylindrical wheel rim chamber (54) of said wheel rim (2); said rotor (307) is selectively, removably and rigidly connected to the inner side (4) of said wheel rim (2), avoiding the interposition of elastic members or damping members; said assembly (1) also comprising a braking device (10), said device comprising a disc brake disc (11) having a radially outer edge (12) and a radially inner edge (13), said braking device (10) further comprising a disc brake caliper (14) selectively, removably and rigidly connected, directly or indirectly, to said stator support (120), said disk brake caliper (14) being placed with its active part (21) astride the inner edge (13) of said disc brake disc (ID; in whichsaid wheel rim (2) is made in two parts (15, 16) selectively and removably connected with each other to form a wheel rim body (17); and whereinone of the two parts of said wheel rim (15) forms in a single piece at least one spoke (18) that protrudes radially towards the axis of rotation (a-a); and whereinsaid disc (11) is connected with its outer edge (12) to said at least one spoke (18).
