A non-pneumatic tire includes beads, apexes, an inner liner, a cushion ply, a tread rubber, sidewall rubbers, and a first carcass ply; and further includes sidewall support layers and a crown support layer. The sidewall support layers are located at the locations of sidewalls and interposed between the inner liner and the first carcass ply. The crown support layer is located at the location of a crown, and interposed between the inner liner and the first carcass ply or between the first carcass ply and the cushion ply. Both ends of the crown support layer respectively extend toward the sidewalls and are partly overlapped with the sidewall support layers.

Tire having component with release coated surface and related processes

Disclosed herein are a tire comprising at least one component having a surface coated with a liquid release layer, a process for preparing a tire having at least one component with a surface coated with a release layer, and a cured tire comprising a tire body at least one component with a surface coated with a release layer. The release layer comprises at least one silicone rubber and at least one adhesive polymer which may be present in latex form in the liquid release layer.

The tire further includes a sound control layer which covers at least a part of an inner circumferential surface of the tire. The inner liner includes an end in a tire width direction annularly extending in a tire circumferential direction on the inner circumferential surface of the tire main body. The sound control layer is fixed on the end in a tire width direction to cover at least a part of a periphery of the end in a tire width direction of the inner liner.

A pneumatic tire (1) includes a mechanical fastener (3) formed of at least two or more fastener components (3a, 3b) and attached to a tire inner surface (2). In a pneumatic tire 2 according to the present invention, in the vicinity of a bead 10 portion, a main portion 42 of a carcass ply 40 is passed through the vicinity of a neutral surface. A tensile force and a compressive force applied to the main portion 42 are small. In the tire 2, occurrence of pinch cut is suppressed. In addition, this structure alleviates a force applied to the main portion 42 even during run-flat running. In the tire 2, damage is less likely to occur even during run-flat running for a long period of time. The tire 2 has excellent run-flat durability. Furthermore, in the tire 2, an increase in the vertical stiffness constant or weight thereof is suppressed.

A run-flat tire includes reinforcing rubber in a sidewall, first bead filler rubber disposed toward the inside of a folded back portion of a carcass layer in a lateral direction, and second bead filler rubber disposed toward the outside of the folded back portion in the lateral direction. The reinforcing rubber has a thickness from a rim base line to a position within 38% to 68% of a tire cross-sectional height being from 90% to 100% of a maximum thickness of the reinforcing rubber. In a range from a position of a rim check line to a position being 38% of the tire cross-sectional height from the rim base line, a total thickness of the reinforcing rubber, the first bead filler rubber, and the second bead filler rubber is from 100% to 140% of the maximum thickness of the reinforcing rubber.
