PNEUMATIC TIRE

A pneumatic tire includes a projection formed on a surface of a tire tread portion. A thickness of the projection, which is a distance from the surface of the tread portion to a top surface of the projection, is smaller than a width of the projection, which is a size of the top surface in a tire circumferential direction. The width of the projection is equal to or more than 10 mm.

PNEUMATIC TIRE

Durability of a pneumatic tire is enhanced by effectively promoting heat radiation by air cooling. A plural of projections are comprised on a surface of a tire side portion. The projection comprises a front side surface which is a side surface of a tire rotational direction side and an outer end surface which is a side surface of a tire outer radial direction side. The front edge portion intersects a straight line extending in a tire radial direction as viewed in a tire wide direction. A tip angle made by the top surface and the front side surface on the edge portion of the projection is equal to or less than 100°. The outer end surface comprises a projection having an inclination side surface which is inclined in a tire rotating rivers direction toward a tire outer radial direction.

The front side edge portion is inclined with respect to a straight line passing the front side edge portion when viewed from a tire width direction. A tip end angle which is an angle formed by the top surface and the front side surface at the front side edge portion is equal to or smaller than 100°.

PNEUMATIC TIRE

A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of projections formed on a surface of a tire side portion at an interval in a tire circumferential direction. A thickness of the projection is smaller than a width of a top surface of the projection in a tire circumferential direction. The thickness is a distance from the surface of the tire side portion to the top surface of the projection. The width of the projection is 10 mm or more. The interval of the projections is 3 times or more and 10 times or less as large as the thickness of the projection.

A pneumatic tire includes a projection formed on a surface of a tire side portion. The projection includes a top surface, and first and second side surfaces respectively forming a side surface in a tire circumferential direction. A first side edge portion, where the top and first side surfaces intersect, has an inclination to a tire radial direction viewed in a tire width direction. A second side edge portion, where the top and second side surfaces intersect, has an inclination to the tire radial direction as viewed in the tire width direction. A first tip end angle made by the top surface and the first side surface on the first side edge portion, and a second tip end angle made by the top surface and the second side surface on the second side edge portion are 100° or less. The rotational direction of the pneumatic tire is not designated.

A run-flat tire includes a side reinforcing rubber layer, a first bead filler on an inner side of a carcass turned-up portion in a width direction, and a second bead filler on an outer side of the carcass turned-up portion in the width direction. A first bead filler height is 30% or less of a tire cross-sectional height SH. A second bead filler height is 50% or greater of the height SH. A cross-sectional area of the second bead filler is from 150% to 400% of a cross-sectional area of the first bead filler. A relationship (0.16×SH×LI−1100)≤S.sub.ALL≤(0.16×SH×LI−800) is satisfied, where S.sub.ALL represents a sum of cross-sectional areas of the side reinforcing rubber layer and the first and second bead fillers, and LI represents a load index.

In a tire 2, load support layers 20 extend, in portions inward of a carcass 10, from portions inward of beads 8, respectively, in the axial direction to portions inward of a tread in the radial direction. When a reference point P represents a point, on an outer surface of the tire 2, which is distant from a bead base line by 25 mm in the radial direction, a distance D1, at the reference point P, from the outer surface of the tire 2 to an outer side surface of a main portion 36 of a carcass ply 34 is greater than or equal to 3 mm and not greater than 10 mm.
