SIDE-BY-SIDE VEHICLE
A vehicle may include a CVT unit or a power source which requires ambient air. An air inlet for an air intake system coupled to the CVT unit or the power source which requires ambient air may be provided in a side of a cargo carrying portion of the vehicle. The vehicle may include a rear radius arm suspension.
METHOD FOR INSTALLING A TRANSMISSION AND SHAFTSEAT APPLIED THEREBY
Method for installing a transmission between a drive with a driveshaft and a load with a driven shaft, where this transmission includes a housing and at least a drive gear and a driven gear, where the method includes first affixing the transmission over the driveshaft and fastening the housing of the transmission to the housing of the drive and then affixing a shaft seal over the driveshaft.
Drive train unit for a hybrid vehicle having axial compensation
A drive train unit for a motor vehicle includes a housing and an input shaft rotatably mounted in the housing and arranged for attachment to an output of a transmission in a rotationally fixed manner. The input shaft has a first input shaft section and a second input shaft section that can move axially in relation to the first input shaft section. The drive train unit may include an electric machine arranged parallel to the input shaft, and a first clutch. The electric machine has a rotor and the first clutch arranged to connect the rotor and the input shaft for torque transmission in a shift position. The drive train may include an output shaft rotatably mounted in the housing and arranged for rotational coupling to a distributer transmission, and a second clutch arranged to connect the input shaft and the output shaft for torque transmission in a shift position.
Work Vehicle
A work vehicle includes a power transmission unit having a differential device for transmitting power to left and right axles and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting power to the differential device, and a transmission shaft for transmitting power to the power transmission unit. The power transmission mechanism includes a first gear mechanism to which power from the transmission shaft is transmitted and a second gear mechanism for transmitting power from the first gear mechanism to the differential device.

Transfer case with range and mode actuator having cam follower mechanism to overcome blocked shift events and sensor configuration permitting detection of fork positions
A transfer case with an actuator for operating a two-speed transmission (i.e., range mechanism) and a clutch (i.e., mode mechanism). The actuator employs a motor-driven cam structure that coordinates the movement of a first fork, which is associated with the range mechanism, and a second fork that is associated with the mode mechanism. A resilient coupling is employed to provide compliance between the motor and the cam structure in the event that tooth-on-tooth contact inhibits the range mechanism from changing from a high-range mode and a low range mode or tooth-on-tooth contact inhibits the mode mechanism from changing between a two-wheel drive mode and a four-wheel drive mode. A sensor target and sensor are employed to identify the rotational positioning of the cam structure placement, which is indicative of the modes in which the transmission and the clutch are operating.
Multipurpose Vehicle
A multipurpose vehicle includes an engine, a travel transmission device, a continuously variable transmission device, and a spacer housing capable of becoming attached to and detached from the engine, the continuously variable transmission device, and the travel transmission device. The spacer housing contains an engine output shaft, a transmission device input shaft of the continuously variable transmission device, a first connecting portion connecting the engine output shaft with the transmission device input shaft in an interlocking manner, a transmission device output shaft of the continuously variable transmission device, a transmission input shaft of the travel transmission device, and a second connecting portion connecting the transmission device output shaft with the transmission input shaft in an interlocking manner.
Multipurpose Vehicle
A multipurpose vehicle includes a stepless speed changer which is provided at one of lateral sides of a vehicle body with respect to an engine and a traveling transmission, an engine output shaft projected from the engine toward the stepless speed changer along a lateral direction of the vehicle body, a speed changer input shaft projected from the stepless speed changer toward the engine along the lateral direction of the vehicle body, and a first gear transmission mechanism provided between and across the engine output shaft and the speed changer input shaft and transmitting power of the engine output shaft to the speed changer input shaft. The multipurpose vehicle further has a PTO section provided at the side of the stepless speed changer with respect to the engine and forwardly of the stepless speed changer, the PTO section being operably connected to the engine output shaft via a second gear transmission mechanism.
Break-away transmission mount
A mount to couple a transmission to a vehicle body includes a first body with at least one first body connector, and a second body with at least one coupler connected to the first body and which includes a damping material arranged to damp vibrations between the first body and second body. A retainer is carried by the first body and has a portion that overlaps part of the second body to prevent separation of the second body from the first body in a first state of the retainer. The retainer is broken or removed from the first body in a second state to permit separation of the second body from the first body, and the retainer breaks or is removed from the first body under a force less than the force needed to break or remove the at least one first body connector from the vehicle body.
