NOTIFICATION METHOD, APPARATUS AND PROGRAM
A notification method is a notification method of providing a notification of a warning indicating that an infant is left unattended in an automobile, the notification method including: a detection step of detecting, by a detection unit 1, whether the infant is left unattended; and a notification step of providing, by a notification unit 2, the notification of the warning when the infant is left unattended. The detection step includes detecting that the infant is left unattended when at least both of a case where a door used by a driver of the automobile is closed after being opened and a case where the driver is not in a driver's seat of the automobile are satisfied within a time frame and the infant is in the automobile.
Environmental control system
An environmental control system includes a transmitting device for signaling to a receiver to activate an environmental control unit (ECU). The transmitting device includes a connector for removably installing and connecting to electrical power in the vehicle and a transmitter for transmitting a signal to a remote receiver. The ECU comprises of an exterior control panel and microprocessor-based controller for operating environmental devices within a facility or other defined space. When the controller receives an input from any of the receiver and an external environmental device, it activates at least one of the environmental devices. When the controller receives any such input that is outside a predefined range, the controller generates any of a visual or audible alarm and notifies a predetermined recipient.

COLLISION WARNING METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING VULNERABLE TRAFFIC PARTICIPANT, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A collision warning method in relation to vulnerable road users (VRUs), applied in a host vehicle when being driven, obtains a relative lateral distance between a vehicle and a VRU and obtains speed of movement of the VRU in addition to speed and direction of the host vehicle. A warning scenario is determined according to the relative lateral distance and the VRU speed. A warning distance according to the warning scenario and the relative speed is calculated, a relative distance between the host vehicle and the VRU is obtained, and the issue of a corresponding level of a collision warning is determined according to a comparison between the warning distance and the relative distance.
Intelligent electronic footwear and control logic for automated infrastructure-based pedestrian tracking
Presented are intelligent electronic footwear and apparel with controller-automated features, methods for making/operating such footwear and apparel, and control systems for executing automated features of such footwear and apparel. A method for automating a collaborative operation between an intelligent electronic shoe (IES) and an intelligent transportation management (ITM) system includes receiving, via a detection tag attached to the IES shoe structure, a prompt signal from a transmitter-detector module communicatively connected to a traffic system controller of the ITM system. In reaction to the received prompt signal, the detection tag transmits a response signal to the transmitter-detector module. The traffic system controller uses the response signal to determine a location of the IES's user, and the current operating state of a traffic signal proximate the user's location. The traffic system controller transmits a command signal to the traffic signal to switch from the current operating state to a new operating state.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING AN ENGINE OIL WARNING LIGHT OF A VEHICLE
A method of controlling an engine oil warning light of a vehicle prevents deterioration of engine oil and reduced durability of an engine that would be caused by non-operation of an engine oil warning light. The method includes: calculating a pressure difference of engine oil; when the initial pressure difference is greater than a predetermined threshold pressure difference, changing a warning light operating pressure determination map; and determining whether or not to turn on an engine oil warning light based on the warning light operating pressure determined by the changed warning light operating pressure determination map.

Vehicle latch with integrated radar module
An electronic latch system for a motor vehicle includes an electronic latch (e-latch) including an e-latch controller within a door of the vehicle. A plurality of radar sensors are located within the door for performing non-contact detection of objects around the vehicle. The radar sensors include an outside-face sensor adjacent an outside face of the door to sense an object within a first sensing zone extending from the outside face. The radar sensors also include an inner sensor adjacent an inside surface of the door to sense an object within a second sensing zone extending from the inside surface. The radar sensors also include a shut-face sensor adjacent a shut face of the door to sense an object within a third sensing zone extending from the shut face. The e-latch includes a light source for projecting a warning image and an audio source for generating an audible warning.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR IDENTIFYING WRONG-WAY DRIVEN VEHICLES
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for automatically identify wrong-way driven vehicles in real-time on a roadway. Methods may include: receiving an image from at least one image sensor captured at a location; processing the image using a computer vision model to detect features within the image; identifying, using the computer vision model, a wrong-way driven vehicle in the image; incrementing a confidence value for detection of the wrong-way driven vehicle; and generating an alert indicating the presence of the wrong-way driven vehicle at the location in response to the confidence value satisfying a predetermined value.
Method for monitoring a driver of a vehicle by means of a measuring system
An apparatus and method for monitoring a vehicle driver having at least one sensor for measuring pressure and/or humidity. The sensor includes at least one capacitor having at least two electrodes, which may be arranged horizontally on a flexible support material. At least one dielectric layer may be arranged between the electrodes. At least one electrode, and/or the dielectric layer, and at least one, at least partially liquid-permeable and/or liquid-absorbing moisture layer may be arranged on a side facing away from a support material. At least one electrode and/or the dielectric layer may be arranged transversely between the support material and the moisture layer. A capacitance may be changed by liquid on the dielectric layer, and a processing unit measures and/or stores values from the sensor, creating a capacitive humidity sensor. The processing unit may send the to a central CPU, wherein this data may be processed by the processing unit.
