AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE SIGNALING SYSTEM
20220050475 · 2022-02-17 ·

A visual indicator system includes a sensor system, a visual indicator, a processing system coupled to the sensor system and the visual indicator, and a memory system that is coupled to the processing system and that includes instructions that, when executed by the processing system, cause the processing system to provide a visual indicator module. The visual indicator module receives first sensor data via the sensor system and determines based on the first sensor data that a first condition is satisfied. In response to the first condition being satisfied and via a first portion of the visual indicator, the visual indicator module provides a first visual indication that is associated with the first condition to a physical environment.

Vehicle periphery monitoring device

The present invention relates to a vehicle periphery monitoring device. An object identification unit comprises: a first identifier requiring a relatively low computation volume for an object identification process; and a second identifier requiring a relatively high computation volume for the object identification process. A region to be identified determination unit determines at least one region to be identified which is presented in the identification process by the second identifier, by carrying out a clustering process relating to location and/or scale, with respect to a plurality of region candidates which are extracted by the first identifier as wherein objects are present.

Systems, methods and apparatus for providing to a driver of a vehicle carrying a mixture real-time information relating to a characteristic of the mixture
09776455 · 2017-10-03 · ·

Information relating to a change made to a concrete mixture in a concrete mixer truck is obtained. An expected value of a selected characteristic of the concrete mixture is determined based on the change. A representation of the expected value is displayed on a processing device located in a cab of the concrete mixer truck. In one embodiment, the mixture comprises a concrete mixture. The change may comprise an addition of water to the mixture.

Dual direction light producing assembly

A light-producing assembly is provided herein and includes a first portion of LEDs biased to direct light in a first direction, a second portion of LEDs biased to direct light in a second direction that is different than the first direction, and a controller for selectively activating the first and/or second portions of LEDs.

Vehicular display system

In one embodiment of the vehicular display system, the drawing unit operates when the vehicle speed is within a predetermined low speed area, starts an operation thereof when the vehicle speed becomes above a lower limit of the low speed area, and stops the operation thereof when the vehicle speed exceeds an upper limit of the low speed area.

METHOD FOR WARNING ROAD USERS BY MEANS OF SURROUNDINGS MONITORING FOR A RUNNING VEHICLE, AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD
20220048431 · 2022-02-17 ·

A method for warning road users by means of surroundings monitoring for a running vehicle is disclosed and furthermore situation detection for the road users in the surroundings of the running vehicle and ascertainment of the probable paths of movement of the running vehicle and the other road users, furthermore ascertainment of an impending hazard situation and, if an impending hazard situation is ascertained, audible warning in and around the running vehicle. Furthermore, an apparatus for performing the method for warning road users is disclosed, wherein the running vehicle is in the form of a land vehicle and the other road users can move in a ground-based manner.

CUSTOMIZABLE CHARGE STATUS INDICATOR SYSTEMS

This disclosure is directed to customizable charge status indicator systems for electrified vehicle charge port assemblies. Exemplary charge status indicator systems may include a charge port lighting module, and a human machine interface (HMI) that includes various user interfaces configured for receiving inputs for customizing different lighting effects that can be emitted by the charge port lighting module. The charge status indicator systems may further include a controller operably coupled to both the charge port lighting module and the HMI and configured for commanding the charge port lighting module to emit customized lighting effects in response to receiving input signals from the HMI.

A display apparatus, a vehicle including the same, includes a sensor unit configured to acquire vehicle periphery information, and an interface unit configured to acquire vehicle state information. The display apparatus also includes a display unit configured to display a first indicator indicating a target steering direction, a third indicator indicating a current steering state, and a second indicator displayed at a position between the first indicator and the third indicator. The display apparatus also includes a processor configured to determine the target steering direction based on the vehicle state information and the vehicle periphery information.

INFORMATION OUTPUT APPARATUS

With occurrence of an event as a trigger, outputting a notification sound of auditory information is started. Start of a character guide of visual information is delayed relatively to a timing of the trigger so as to be synchronized with start of a voice guide of auditory information. A user is surely made aware of a schedule of the start of the guides by the output of the notification sound. After the user moves his/her eyes to a screen for the character guide, the character guide and the voice guide are executed. Since no time lag is generated between the character guide and the voice guide, it is possible to prevent occurrence of a sense of incompatibility.

SETTING VEHICLE CENTER IN ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM

The disclosure provides a steering system for a vehicle. The steering system may include a steering rack and an electronic power steering (EPS) system. The EPS system may include an actuator that assists movement of the steering rack, a torque sensor; an angle sensor; and an EPS system controller. The EPS controller may be configured to determine a steering rack center point indicating a center of the steering rack between opposite maximum steering angles. The EPS controller may be configured to determine a vehicle center zero point. The EPS controller may be configured to store the vehicle center zero point in response to determining that the vehicle center zero point is within a threshold of the steering rack center point.
