Aesthetic display unit for a vehicle

A method for providing one or more of a rear or a side view of a vehicle includes generating a video stream of images subsequently captured by at least one camera of the vehicle or of a virtual mirror device of the vehicle, processing the generated video stream, and displaying the generated video stream on at least one screen of a display unit of the vehicle or of the virtual mirror device.

Apparatus and method for providing top view image of parking space

An apparatus and method for providing a top view image of a parking space are provided. The apparatus includes a steering angle sensor that measures a steering angle of a vehicle, a top view image generator that generates a top view image of a parking space depending on travel of the vehicle, a display that displays the top view image generated by the top view image generator, and a controller that captures the top view image displayed by the display and generates a panorama top view image by connecting the current top view image generated by the top view image generator and the captured previous top view image, based on the steering angle measured by the steering angle sensor.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY APPARATUS IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, CONTROL DEVICE, AND HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY APPARATUS

A control device in a motor vehicle receives a signal from a sensor device which includes at least one image of the current interior situation. The control device generates a superimposition signal containing the at least one image of the current interior situation and transmits the superimposition signal to a display element of a display apparatus. The display apparatus superimposes the at least one image of the current interior situation onto predefined output content output to a user.

REAR CAMERA TRIANGULATION MIRROR

A camera system for a vehicle provides for the generation of different perspectives with a single camera to improve location accuracy. The camera system includes a camera configured for generating an image of an area proximate the vehicle and a mirror mounted proximate the camera and within a field of view of the camera. The mirror provides a secondary view of the area proximate the vehicle to the camera that is included as part of a single image.

Night Vision System for Vehicles

A vehicle vision system, disposed for use in either non-convertibles or convertibles vehicles, and for use in either hardtop or soft top systems. The system includes window panels that convert from day vision to night vision system mechanism and the system may include one window panel or two window panels. The rear window (day vision) will depress to a back compartment and the night vision window will elevate to replace the day window. In an additional embodiment, the night depress to a front compartment and the night vision window will elevate to replace the night window. This will also be performed vice versa for both the front and rear window. Side mirrors will also convert at the same time the window panels convert from day light to night light system mechanism, and vice versa.

VEHICLE DRIVING ASSIST APPARATUS

A vehicle driving assist apparatus executes a vehicle collision prevention control when a target object distance from a vehicle to a target object is equal to or smaller than a predetermined distance. The apparatus acquires the target object distance on the basis of a position of the target object in a camera image taken by a camera and a height of the camera in a situation that a movable load of the vehicle is a maximum load capacity.

Apparatus and method for verifying image data comprising mapped texture image data

The present application relates to an apparatus for verifying the integrity of image data comprising mapped texture data is provided and a method of operating thereof. A fragment shader unit is coupled to first and second frame buffers and at least one texture buffer. A first texture sampler unit is configured to output texture mapped fragments to the first frame buffer. A second texture sampler unit is configured to output texture mapped fragments to the second frame buffer. A comparator unit is further configured to compare the image data stored in the first frame buffer and in the second frame buffer. A fault indication signal is issued in case the image data of the first and the second frame buffers mismatch.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

An information processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a determination unit and an output control unit. The determination unit determines whether a particular part related to a type of an object is included in a blind spot of an object of interest. The output control unit outputs output information when it is determined that the part is included in the blind spot.

Method and System for Synthesizing a Lane Image
20170330043 · 2017-11-16 ·

A method for synthesizing a lane image is proposed in the present application. This method includes the following steps. M continuous image frames are retrieved at a frame rate f from a video image capture device. A quantity N for image mapping is determined based on a dash length L of a dashed line and a distance S between two dashes of the dashed lines. A frame interval for mapping image frames is determined based on the dash length L, the distance S, the velocity v, and the frame rate f. At least N image frames are retrieved from the M continuous image frames at the frame interval. The at least N image frames are synthesized to obtain the lane image using an image synthesizing device.

A remote surveillance assembly includes a base that is positionable in a vehicle and a pole that is coupled to and extends upwardly from the base. A pan tilt zoom (PTZ) video camera is movably disposed on the pole to capture surveillance of the environment around the vehicle. A pair of articulated arms is each of the articulated arms is movably coupled to the pole. A pair of digital cameras is each coupled to a respective one of the articulated arms to capture surveillance of the environment around the vehicle. A digital video recorder is coupled to the base and a transceiver is coupled to the base. The transceiver is in wireless communication with an extrinsic communication network to broadcast the data stored in the digital video recorder to a remote data storage device.
