Effluent Processing Apparatus for a Vehicle Air Brake Charging System
An effluent processing device includes an input port to receive an effluent mixture containing air, oil, and water. One or more baffles are positioned between the input port and at least one air outlet to deflect the effluent mixture to assist in separating the oil and the water from the air. A member positioned below the one or more baffles selectively allows only oil of the separated oil and water to pass from a first side of the member through openings in the member to a second side of the member. A sump is arranged to receive and retain the oil on the second side of the member as the oil passes from the first side to the second side. The effluent processing devices includes at least one air outlet through which air is exhausted to atmosphere.

The helical spring has multiple coils, including a first outer coil at a first end of the helical spring and a second outer coil at a second end of the helical spring. At least one of the first and second outer coils has a greater diameter than inner coils of the helical spring between the first and the second end of the helical spring.
COMPRESSED-AIR SUPPLY INSTALLATION, PNEUMATIC SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMPRESSED-AIR SUPPLY INSTALLATION OR A PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
A compressed-air supply installation for operating a pneumatic installation includes a compressed-air feed, a compressed-air connection to the pneumatic installation, and a ventilation connection to a surrounding environment. The compressed-air supply installation further includes a pneumatic main line between the compressed-air feed and the compressed-air connection, the pneumatic main line having an air dryer, a ventilation line between the compressed-air feed and the ventilation connection, and a valve arrangement having a control valve configured to control a ventilation valve. The control valve is connected by a control valve connection in a pneumatic control line that is connected to a pressure control connection of the ventilation valve, the ventilation valve is connected by a ventilation valve connection in the ventilation line, and the control valve is assigned a control valve ventilation connection that is configured to be switchably connected to the ventilation connection or to the surrounding environment.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING COMPRESSED AIR TO A VEHICLE AS REQUIRED, MORE PARTICULARLY A RAIL VEHICLE
A method and system supply compressed air to a vehicle as required, more particularly a rail vehicle, wherein at least the primary air requirement of the rail vehicle for operating a pneumatic braking system is covered by a primary air compressor that is connected to a primary tank air line and wherein additional compressed air for operating auxiliary units is generated by at least one electromotive auxiliary air compressor having a lower delivery output than the primary air compressor. When the vehicle is parked, only the at least one auxiliary air compressor is used to generate compressed air as required, the air being used, whilst the vehicle is parked, to maintain permanent contact between a current collector that is actuated by a pneumatic actuating drive and an electric supply line.
Arrangement for a Utility Vehicle
An arrangement for a utility vehicle includes at least one air dryer unit and a regulating unit, wherein the air dryer unit and the regulating unit are designed in each case as separate units. The air dryer unit has at least one air dryer module, in particular an air dryer cartridge, at least one discharge valve and at least one control line for the pneumatic control of the discharge valve. At least one connecting line is provided in the air dryer unit with connection to the air dryer module. The connecting line leads directly to a consumer non-return valve for the air dryer unit, which is arranged outside of the air dryer unit, wherein the connecting line can be used at least partially bi-directionally and/or can be or is connected to a bi-directionally usable line section.

COILED FILTER FOR HYDRAULIC COMPONENT
A coiled filter for use in a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle comprises a coiled mesh-like structure which is configured to be installed around a first surface of a cylindrical hydraulic component. The coiled filter is configured to have an internal spring force as a retention force which couples the filter to the first surface of the cylindrical hydraulic component. The filter may be pre-coiled prior to installation by plastically deforming to a diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical hydraulic component on which the filter is installed.
Multi-conductor cable for vehicle and method for manufacturing multi-conductor cable for vehicle
A multi-conductor cable for a vehicle includes core wires respectively having a conductor formed by a plurality of twisted wires, and an insulating layer covering an outer periphery of the conductor, and a sheath layer disposed around the core wires. A marking portion is partially formed on an outer peripheral surface of the sheath layer, and a ratio of an arithmetic average roughness Ra2 of a peripheral region adjacent to the marking portion, with respect to an arithmetic average roughness Ra1 of the marking portion, at the outer peripheral surface, is 0.10 or greater and 0.90 or less.

SPRING BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH AN INTEGRATED VALVE UNIT
A spring brake actuator has a service brake with a service brake housing and a service brake working chamber located in the service brake housing. The service brake working chamber is confined by a diaphragm. A service brake piston movable along an actuator-longitudinal axis and abuts the diaphragm, which applies a brake force onto the service brake piston. A spring between the service brake piston and the service brake housing pushes the service brake piston against the direction of the brake force. A modulator valve unit communicates with the service brake working chamber and is configured to regulate the inlet and outlet of fluid into and out of the service brake working chamber. The modulator valve unit is integrated into the spring brake actuator and includes a controllable inlet valve communicating with the service brake working chamber and a controllable outlet valve communicating with the service brake working chamber.
