Universal Axle-Hub Assembly
A universal axle-hub assembly is provided for an off-road vehicle. The universal axle-hub assembly comprises a wheel hub that receives a constant velocity (CV) axle snout into an opening extending through an axle support of the wheel hub. An outboard-most portion of the opening is a splined portion that engages with similar splines disposed on an outboard-most portion of the CV axle snout. An inboard-most portion of the opening is a smooth portion that receives a smooth portion of the CV axle snout. The axle support extends through an entirety of the width of a bearing that supports the wheel hub, such that the bearing supports the smooth portion of the CV axle snout and substantially eliminates shear forces acting on the splined portion of the CV axle snout. A bearing carrier supports the bearing and may be fastened onto a trailing arm or a spindle of the off-road vehicle.
Work vehicle
In a work vehicle including a pair of left and right link mechanisms disposed between a vehicle body and a wheel support member and configured to support the wheel support member to the vehicle body to be vertically pivotable, a suspension mechanism disposed between the vehicle body and the wheel support member and configured to elastically support the wheel support member, and an engine disposed between the pair of left and right link mechanisms, each one of the pair of left and right link mechanisms including an upper link provided between a link support portion formed in the vehicle body and the wheel support member and a lower link provided between the link support portion and the wheel support member, there are provided a radiator disposed on lateral outer side of the vehicle body relative to the link mechanisms, a cooling water circulation hose connected to the engine and the radiator and configured to circulate engine cooling water between the engine and the radiator. The link support portion has a recess portion opened to the space between the upper link and the lower link. And, the cooling water circulation hose is provided to enter the recess portion to extend through the space in a vehicle body inner/outer direction.
Vehicle
A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame supported by the ground-engaging members, and a plurality of body panels supported by the frame. The utility vehicle also includes a radiator supported on a rear portion of the frame. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes an air intake assembly partially supported by an upper portion of the frame.
Vehicle body and vehicle
Provided are a vehicle body and a vehicle. The vehicle body includes: a front longitudinal beam; a first bracket; an upper side beam having a front lower end connected to an outer end of the first bracket; a front floor longitudinal beam having a front end connected to a rear end of the front longitudinal beam and having a linear configuration; a rocker panel having a front end connected to the rear end of the front longitudinal beam; and a rear floor longitudinal beam connected to a rear end of the front floor longitudinal beam and a rear end of the rocker panel to make the front floor longitudinal beam, the rocker panel, and the rear floor longitudinal beam form a closed-loop force transmission structure.
VEHICLE
A vehicle includes first and second seats supported by a frame, a cargo bed located more rearward than first and second seating portions of the first and the second seats, and a radiator located more rearward than the first and second seating portions and lower than a lower surface of the cargo bed. The radiator is located farther outward, in a width direction of the vehicle, than an engine that is located more rearward than a front end of the first and the second seats and at or substantially at a center of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction. The radiator includes an outer surface facing rearward and outward of the vehicle. A rotating fan to introduce air from outside the vehicle to inside the vehicle via the outer surface of the radiator is located on either one of an outer surface side and an inner surface side of the radiator.
Method for assembling vehicles of a family of vehicles and corresponding vehicles
A side-by-side off-road vehicle has a cockpit, a storage compartment disposed rearward of the cockpit, a motor compartment disposed rearward of the storage compartment, a frame, four ground engaging members, a motor, and a pivotable cargo bed. In a lowered position, the cargo bed extends over at least a portion of the motor and storage compartments. At least one first partition defines at least in part a front of at least a portion of the storage compartment. At least one second partition defines at least in part a rear of at least a portion of the storage compartment. A floor defines at least in part a bottom of the storage compartment. The storage compartment has left and right access apertures defined in left and right sides of the vehicle. A method of assembling a vehicle of a family of vehicles is also contemplated.
Land vehicles incorporating monocoques and modular mold systems for making the same
Land vehicles, modular systems for forming monocoques of land vehicles, and methods of forming monocoques of land vehicles using modular systems are envisioned. In certain embodiments, the land vehicles are provided as delivery vehicles and/or utility vehicles. A land vehicle includes a monocoque supporting a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle.

Upper frame for an off-road vehicle
An upper frame portion of a frame of a vehicle includes a first longitudinal frame member having a first end and a second end and a second longitudinal frame member having a first end and a second end. The first longitudinal member and the second longitudinal member each include a first end and a second bend. The first bends and the second bends are positioned adjacent one another and forward of a seating area.
Systems and methods for joining nodes and other structures
An additively manufactured node is disclosed. A node is an additively manufactured (AM) structure that includes a feature, e.g., a socket, a channel, etc., for accepting another structure, e.g., a tube, a panel, etc. The node can include a node surface of a receptacle extending into the node. The receptacle can receive a structure, and a seal interface on the node surface can seat a seal member between the node surface and the structure to create an adhesive region between the node and the structure, the adhesive region being bounded by the node surface, the structure, and the seal member. The node can also include two channels connecting an exterior surface of the node to the adhesive region. In this way, adhesive can be injected into the adhesive region between the node and the structure, and the adhesive can be contained by the seal member.
