A lower body for a vehicle includes front and rear main bodies each including pipes, a pair of first longitudinal members extending in a forward/rearward direction and spaced apart from each other in a transverse direction, a first transverse member extending in the transverse direction and connecting the first longitudinal members, and mounting parts each having an outer side to which the first longitudinal members and the first transverse member are coupled, and a pair of lower body main members connecting the outer sides of the mounting parts and two opposite sides of upper ends of the front and rear main bodies spaced apart from each other, the pair of lower body main members each having a pipe shape and extending forward and rearward to constitute upper side members of the front and rear main bodies and defining an overall length of the vehicle.

The vehicle also has a fuel tank assembly including a fuel tank connected to the frame. The fuel tank is forward of the seats and at least a portion of the fuel tank is disposed under the roll cage.

The radiator is located farther outward, in a width direction of the vehicle, than an engine that is located more rearward than a front end of the first and the second seats and at or substantially at a center of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction. The radiator includes an outer surface facing rearward and outward of the vehicle. A rotating fan to introduce air from outside the vehicle to inside the vehicle via the outer surface of the radiator is located on either one of an outer surface side and an inner surface side of the radiator.

The tubular members include a plurality of pillars spaced apart from each other along the peripheral edge and fixed against the sidewall for securing the safety cage to the chassis floorpan.

This vehicle of monocoque construction is formed by fastening together resin parts which are an upper body integrally made of a transparent thermoplastic resin composition, a lower body integrally made of a thermoplastic resin composition and a floor integrally made of a thermoplastic resin composition, wherein the vehicle is characterized in that the lower body is provided with a flange part rising up from the entire perimeter of the bottom surface and, in the center of the bottom surface, a convex rib part that continues rearward from the front of the vehicle, and the upper body and the floor being fastened to the flange part and the convex rib part of the lower body. In so doing, there can be provided a vehicle which is lightweight, affords a good field of view during driving, is simple in construction, and has the necessary rigidity.

An electrically powered motor vehicle includes a main frame, a front axle assembly, and a rear axle assembly. The main frame includes a front frame subassembly, a floor-panel subassembly, a rear frame subassembly, and a top frame subassembly. Each of these frame subassemblies includes a lattice structure including steel box-section elements, preferably high-strength steel elements. Each of the frame subassemblies is prearranged for being pre-assembled separately and then subsequently assembled together with the other subassemblies to constitute the main frame. The structure is such as to afford high flexibility of production, and presents at the same time considerable safety characteristics, thanks to a high capacity of absorption of impact energy. In one embodiment designed for transport of goods, the motor vehicle is equipped with a transporting body having a hollow-walled body made of plastic material, filled with foamed plastic material, preferably obtained with the rotational-moulding technique.
