Vehicle lifting and spare tire storage system

A lifting system for generating a lifting force on a portion of a vehicle includes a vehicle wheel and a force-generating mechanism structured to be received inside a rim cavity of the wheel. The force-generating mechanism is also structured to be operably connected to a frame of a vehicle. A bearing member is operably connected to the force-generating mechanism. The bearing member is structured to transmit a force generated by the force-generating mechanism to a surface in physical contact with the bearing member. The bearing member is also structured for operably connecting the wheel to the force-generating mechanism. Force applied by the force-generating mechanism may be sufficient to lift a portion of the vehicle off of a ground surface, or the force may only be sufficient to apply a parking brake force without lifting the vehicle.

Spare Tire Security Device

A security device to safeguard spare tires with a rim is mounted on the underside of a vehicle with a cable attached to a pin on one end and a winch on the other end. The security device includes a flat disc base and a tube with several openings or holes. This device enters through the main spare tire rim opening, the base is supported on one side and the tube crosses it up to exit on the opposite side, thus protecting the cable that holds the tire. The cable and pin are introduced through the rim and they are introduced by the tube in such a way that the pin is inserted in a series of lateral holes in said tube. The cable and tire are adjusted by means of a winch. The cable that holds the tire is covered by the tube of the security device.

A fitted cap case that has a cap cover assembly having a front cover and a rear cover, a cap base assembly having a front base and a rear base, and a bottom base assembly having a front bottom base and a rear bottom base. The front cover closes onto the front base. The rear base and the rear bottom base slide within a cavity defined between the front base and the front bottom base to elongate or reduce a predetermined distance between a cap mount protrusion and a notched edge. The front cover closes onto the front base, and the rear cover closes, whereby rear cover lateral edges are partially positioned onto first and second channels, and lateral edges relatively align with a base edge.

A spare tire mount for the rear of a motor vehicle has a first outer support frame with a second, inner support frame nested inside and releasably connected to the first frame. Both frames extend laterally across the back of the vehicle and extend upward at an angle. Both frames rotate about a vertical joint at the rear bumper so the frames rotate toward and away from the vehicle. The second frame holds the spare tire and rotates about a horizontal axis. A wire rope winds around a reel on the first frame with the rope connected to the second frame to raise and lower the second frame and tire as they rotate about the first horizontal axistoward and away from the first frame and ground. The reel is rotated by a worm screw and worm wheel.
