Mold manufacturing method and mold
11230035 · 2022-01-25 · ·

A mold manufacturing method for monocoque bicycle components comprises the steps of i) providing a first female mold comprising a pair of first half molds delimiting first surfaces to circumscribe a first mold cavity to form first component portions; ii) providing a second female mold comprising a pair of second half molds delimiting second surfaces to circumscribe a second mold cavity to form second component portions; and iii) interposing at least part of third female molds between the first and second female molds, so that third surfaces delimited by the third female molds join with continuity the first and the second surfaces, the third surfaces being configured to form third component portions in a single piece with the first and second component portions. Step iii) comprises a sub-step of manufacturing at least part of the third surfaces of the third female molds by rapid prototyping.

Bicycle handlebar for recumbent cycling
11230345 · 2022-01-25 ·

A handlebar assembly is able to attach to a bicycle. The handlebar assembly provides a higher grasping point for a bicycle operator than the original handlebar, enabling the operator to lean back and assume a recumbent posture while riding. The handlebar assembly includes and attachment member, a handlebar member, and an extension vertically separating the two components. The attachment-member is able to affix about the existing tubular handlebar of the bicycle by means of a clamp.

Chain closing link

A chain-closing link for a bicycle chain including two closing parts. Each of the closing parts includes a closing plate having a retaining opening and a displacement region. Each of the closing parts also includes a chain pin. The closing plate includes a recess and/or a hole having a securing region.

FOOT-DECK-BASED VEHICLES WITH PIVOT JOINT AND FIRST AND SECOND RELEASE MEMBERS

In an aspect, there is provided a foot-deck-based vehicle which includes a foot deck, wheels, a handlebar structure including a handle and a handlebar stem, a joint connecting the handlebar stem and the foot deck, a first release member and a second release member. The joint permits the handlebar structure to move between a use position and a storage position. The first release member is movable between a first locking position and a first unlocking position, and the second release member is movable between a second locking position and a second unlocking position. When the first and second release members are in the first and second unlocking positions, the handlebar structure is movable between the use and storage positions. The first and second release members are movable in first and second directions, which are at at least a selected angle relative to one another.

Real-time sensor based balance gamification and feedback

A real-time performance management may be used for cycling. A first computing device retrieves profile data related to a cyclist. The first computing device receives sensor readings from one or more sensors. A first sensor of the one or more sensors detects cyclist tilt. Profile data and the sensor readings from the one or more sensors determine cyclist status. A notification based on the determined cyclist status communicates to a user.

Respectively a rider of the autonomous scooter may select a manual drive mode to drive without any assistance, or the rider may control the autonomous scooter remotely by a smartphone when riding or not aboard via a smartphone APP whereby the rider may engage a user interface system providing virtual driving control settings linked with an autonomous drive system to control the autonomous scooter, or the rider can manually control the autonomous scooter. Primarily elements of the autonomous scooter may comprise a platform defined by a front end and a rear end, a deck section to place the rider's feet thereon, and having a base supporting a steering column. Accordingly the steering column is rotatably connected by a motorized wheel adapter configured to turn a suspension fork arrangement containing at least one motorized wheel thus steering and balance control of the autonomous scooter, or the steering column is connected to a truck arrangement containing two motorized wheels, whereby the two motorized wheels provide balance and differential propulsion for steering the autonomous scooter. The motorized wheel adapter and the motorized wheels are systematically controlled by an autonomous drive system adapted to control the autonomous scooter during autonomous drive mode setting.

MOTORIZED CARRY-ON PROVIDED WITH A RETRACTABLE PLATFORM COMPRISING A PAIR OF DRIVING WHEELS
20210337947 · 2021-11-04 ·

Disclosed is a carry-on including a substantially rectangular parallelepiped container with a handle extendable from the container from an upper base thereof. The carry-on also includes a telescopic platform extendable from the lower base of the container and including wheels at which the carry-on may rest on the ground. The platform is motorized using actuators capable of rotating two of the wheels about a respective transverse axis thereof. The platform includes sensors suitable for detecting a movement of the center of gravity of a user of the carry-on when the user is standing on the platform. A control unit is suitable for controlling an actuation of the actuators according to the movements of the center of gravity of the user detected by the sensors. This results in the carry-on being drivable by a person standing on the platform by slight movements of the center of gravity thereof.

Semi-recumbent bicycle with integrated seat and steering system

A steering system may include a seat assembly, a frame assembly and a wheel. The frame assembly may include a steering tube that is rotatably disposed within a head tube with a cam at a top end and a pair of forks at a bottom end to which is coupled an axle of the wheel. An arm may be disposed on and rotatably coupled to the seat assembly, and rotatably coupled to a left armrest and right armrest. A steering rod may be coupled to the cam and to one of the arms, the left armrest or the right armrest, such that forward movement of one of the armrests causes the steering rod to be translated forward and the cam to rotate in one direction, and backward movement of the same armrest causes the steering rod to be translated backward and the cam to rotate in an opposite direction.

LUGGAGE SCOOTER
