UNDERWATER OBJECT DESTRUCTION SYSTEM AND UNDERWATER OBJECT DESTRUCTION METHOD
A laser beam is condensed in a close position to a target object in underwater so as to generate an air bubble or plasma. The target object is efficiently destroyed by a shock by the air bubble or the plasma.

NON-LETHAL NAVAL VESSEL INTERDICTION WEAPON
A non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon is provided. The non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon includes a hydrodynamic hull, guidance and delivery systems housed in the hydrodynamic hull with the delivery system being controllable by the guidance system to drive a naval vessel impeding payload toward a target and a deployment system. The deployment system is configured to prepare the hydrodynamic hull for payload deployment and to deploy the naval vessel impeding payload toward the target following hull preparation.

SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING SHIPS FROM TORPEDOES
A means is provided for defending a target from attack by a torpedo with high probability. When a controller detects a torpedo based on an image generated by a sonar, it specifies a path of movement of the torpedo. If there is a water craft or the like within the path of movement, the controller instructs a launcher to launch a torpedo capture device and instructs mines to switch to detonation-off mode. Moveable devices of the torpedo capture device launched by the launcher in accordance with the instruction of the controller move in the water to spread a net. The controller then specifies a location of each of a first moveable device and second moveable devices based on an image generated by the sonar, and instructs the first moveable Device and the second moveable devices to move such that the center of the net is within the path of movement of the torpedo. The first moveable device and the second moveable devices move in accordance with the instruction of the controller. When the torpedo reaches the net, the net captures the torpedo and the mines, which are in the detonation-on mode, explode the torpedo before it reaches the water craft or the like.

BOARDING POLE PROTECTION
A marine surface vessel includes a boarding pole for maritime boarding actions and the boarding pole is at a first end of the boarding pole, attached to a deck of the vessel via a flexible joint. The vessel includes a holding device presenting, or being arranged to present, a holding cavity arranged to receive, in a non-erected condition of the boarding pole, a boarding engagement device at a second end of the boarding pole, which second end is opposite to the first end.
Rigid ballistic composites having large denier per filament yarns
A rigid ballistic-resistant composite includes large denier per filament (dpf) yarns. The yarns are held in place by a resin to form a rigid composite panel with improved ballistic performance. The large dpf yarns may be selected from aromatic heterocyclic co-polyamide fibers, polyester-polyarylate fibers, high modulus polypropylene (HMPP) fibers, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers, poly(p-phenylene-2,6-benzobisoxazole) (PBO) fibers, poly-diimidazo pyridinylene (dihydroxy) phenylene (PIPD) fibers, carbon fibers, and polyolefin fibers.

Motorized aquatic animal deterrent
A motorized, floating device is associated with another aquatic device that carries a passenger or passengers (associated aquatic device). The invention comprises components such as one or more magnetic field emitters that deter aquatic animals from approaching the associated aquatic device without interfering with the operation of the associated aquatic device. The associated aquatic device may be a surfboard, a raft, a personal watercraft, or other similar small craft that floats in water. The invention may be used with larger boats and other watercraft. The motorized aquatic animal deterrent is tethered to the associated aquatic device to follow movement of the associated aquatic device but is spaced apart from the associated aquatic device.
