UAV COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND UAV
20210005079 · 2021-01-07 ·

A communication control method for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes transmitting a first information between the UAV and a payload apparatus via a first communication link and transmitting a second information between the UAV and the payload apparatus via a second communication link. Security of the first communication link is higher than security of the second communication link, and a bandwidth of the first communication link is lower than a bandwidth of the second communication link.

Aircraft cockpit side console with articulated single-piece components

A side console for an aircraft cockpit includes a structure for mounting of an item of aircraft equipment and a complementary structure. The mounting structure and the complementary structure are formed of single-piece components articulated about an axis of articulation between a storage position in which the single-piece components are more or less folded against one another, and a position of installation in which the single-piece components extend respectively in substantially mutually perpendicular planes.

Various systems and methodologies may be utilized to determine whether a particular shipment/item is eligible for delivery between a manual delivery vehicle and a final destination location via an autonomous delivery vehicle. To ensure autonomous deliveries are performed in a resource effective manner, shipments/items deemed eligible for autonomous delivery may be vetted by comparing the destination for the autonomous delivery shipment/item against one or more manual delivery destinations (serviced by the manual delivery vehicle operator), and ultimately identifying an optimal launch location for the autonomous delivery vehicle to leave the manual delivery vehicle to complete the autonomous delivery. If the autonomous delivery location does not satisfy applicable autonomous delivery criteria, the autonomous delivery shipment/item may be reclassified for manual delivery by the manual delivery vehicle operator.

METHODS OF PHOTO MATCHING AND PHOTO CONFIRMATION FOR PARCEL PICKUP AND DELIVERY
20200317340 · 2020-10-08 ·

Systems and methods include UAVs that serve to assist carrier personnel by reducing the physical demands of the transportation and delivery process. A UAV generally includes a UAV chassis including an upper portion, a plurality of propulsion members configured to provide lift to the UAV chassis, and a parcel carrier configured for being selectively coupled to and removed from the UAV chassis. UAV support mechanisms are utilized to load and unload parcel carriers to the UAV chassis, and the UAV lands on and takes off from the UAV support mechanism to deliver parcels to a serviceable point. The UAV includes computing entities that interface with different systems and computing entities to send and receive various types of information.

LOW VOLUME NITROGEN SYSTEMS
20200318795 · 2020-10-08 ·

A system to maintain an inert ullage in a hydrocarbon tank. The system provides for outgassing/venting of ullage gases when a high-pressure event is found within the tank. Further, when a low-pressure event occurs, during fuel discharge or based on ambient conditions, a source of inert gas, such as nitrogen) supplies gas on-demand to the hydrocarbon tank via a pressure regulator (preferably along the venting system) to maintain both the pressure and inerting of the ullage. A method for maintaining the inert ullage is also provided, whereby a low-pressure event triggers a supply of inert gas into the tank.
