VEHICLE REGION WITH LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT AND CEILING PANEL ABOVE THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT, AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING AND DISASSEMBLING A CEILING PANEL ABOVE A LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
A vehicle region with a roof section of a primary structure and with two luggage compartments. One of the luggage compartments comprises a detachable luggage compartment flap and a luggage compartment top, which forms the upper boundary of a part of a luggage space. A detachable fastening device can rotatably fasten the luggage compartment flap on the luggage compartment. A front edge of the luggage compartment top is at a distance from an end point in an intermediate space above a luggage compartment, to which end point a side of a ceiling panel is movable, the distance being greater than or equal to a width of the ceiling panel. Methods for installing and removing a ceiling panel above two luggage compartments are provided, wherein the ceiling panel is guided at least partially through a luggage space of a luggage compartment when the luggage compartment flap has been removed.
OVERHEAD STORAGE BIN PIVOT LATCH MECHANISM
An aircraft storage bin that includes a latch system that includes a pivot plate assembly, a mounting plate assembly and a latch button assembly. The pivot plate assembly includes a pivot plate attached to the bucket, a latch arm that is pivotally connected to the pivot plate and is pivotal between latched and unlatched positions, and a latch pawl that is pivotal between latched and unlatched positions. A latch activator is secured to the latch arm, which includes a roller member. The latch pawl includes hook and roller receiver portions. In the latched position, the roller member is received in the roller receiver portion. The mounting plate assembly includes a mounting plate to which the pivot plate is pivotally connected and a striker that is received in the hook portion when the bucket is in the closed position. Movement of the button from the home position to the actuation position moves the latch activator, which pivots the latch arm to the unlatched position, the roller member is released from the roller receiver portion and the latch pawl pivots to the unlatched position and releases the striker from the hook portion.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED LIGHTING
A method may comprise: commanding, by a processor, a lighting system to generate a first desired effect in accordance with a first spectral weighting mode; determining, by the processor, a first optimized predetermined variable within a first predetermined domain to generate the desired effect based on the first spectral weighting mode; commanding, by the processor, the lighting system to transition from the first desired effect to a second desired effect, the second desired effect in accordance with a second spectral weighting mode; and determining by the processor, a second optimized predetermined variable within a second predetermined domain to generate the second desired effect based on the second spectral weighting mode, the first optimized predetermined variable being different from the second optimized predetermined variable.
