HIGH SPEED POUCHER

An apparatus and methods for producing at extremely high production speeds small pouches filled with tobacco or other granular, powdered or solid content. An endless web substrate, with or without flavor film thereon, is formed into a tubular shape with a longitudinal seam. The tube is cut to individual lengths, and a procession of tubes is crimp-closed at one end, filled and crimp-closed at the other end to complete pouch production. During production, the seams formed at the crimped ends of the pouch are parallel to one another and the longitudinal seam of the pouch is midway between the sides of the pouch and orthogonal to the seams formed at the crimped ends of the pouch.

The present disclosure relates to a method for positioning portion packets of a product for oral use into a container by means of a compartment unit. The compartment unit comprises a plurality of compartments with a respective discharge opening. The method comprises: a) positioning the compartment unit at a first distance (d1) from a bottom wall of the container with the discharge openings facing a storage volume of the container, b) introducing at least one portion packet into i-th compartment of the compartment unit, the portion packet thereby assuming a first three-dimensional orientation with the at least one portion packet being in contact with the bottom wall of the container and at least partly remaining in the i-th compartment, wherein i is an integer going from 1 to n, n being the number of compartments to be loaded, n2, c) moving the compartment unit in relation to the container thereby causing reconfiguration of each portion packet to a second three-dimensional orientation being different from the first three-dimensional orientation. The disclosure further relates to a device for positioning portion packets of a product for oral use into a container. The disclosure also relates to a container comprising a plurality of portion packets of a product for oral use.

Machine to manufacture cartridges for electronic cigarettes

A machine to manufacture cartridges for electronic cigarettes comprising a casing made of plastic material inside which a quantity of powdered tobacco is contained; the machine is provided with a drum which receives an orderly mass of empty casings, and feeds them to a filling station in which a quantity of powdered tobacco is inserted into each empty casing and a filling unit which is arranged in correspondence to the filling station for feeding a quantity of powdered tobacco inside each empty casing from above; the filling unit is provided with a first hopper for the collection of powdered tobacco and a plurality of discs among which a first disc defining a bottom wall of the first hopper; wherein, between the first disc and a second disc a plurality of compartments is defined, each designed to contain the quantity of powdered tobacco to be inserted into a respective casing from above; and wherein the first disc and the second disc are mobile relative to one another, so as to vary the volume of the compartments and the quantity of powdered tobacco contained inside them.

Rotary Filling Machine

A rotary filling machine for filling containers with bridgeable dry materials includes a turret supporting a plurality of circumferentially spaced drop buckets and a plurality of funnel assemblies located under the drop buckets. A stationary slide plate is located vertically between the funnel assemblies and the drop buckets. When viewed in a direction of turret rotation, the slide plate has an upstream end, a downstream end, and inner and outer edges. A portion of the slide plate is tapered progressively in diameter toward its downstream end such that flow paths from the bottoms of the drop buckets to the inlet openings of the funnel assemblies increase progressively in diameter with the taper of the slide plate. Also provided is a funnel assembly that dilates bridgeable materials before dispensing those materials into a container.

Automated filling of cartridge array with viscous liquid utilizing annular nozzles

A system to automate the filling of electronic vape cartridges with viscous liquid. The system includes an enclosure sealed with removable panels for maintenance access, compartments to interface cartridges and liquids with the internal mechanisms, and an external human machine interface. The internal mechanisms utilize thermally insulative annular nozzles and a thermal control system to diminish the internal friction of the liquid to facilitate consistent transfer of liquid between a reservoir, heated by a heated bed, syringe assembly, comprising a heating element along a raceway, and empty cartridges inserted into the system. This system is capable of filling approximately 100 cartridges per minute, and may interface with cartridges of various configurations and formulations of varying composition and characteristics.

Method for reverse-filling cosmetic material having irreversible property and cosmetic container filled therewith

A method for reverse-filling cosmetic material having an irreversible property and a cosmetic container filled therewith, including the steps of: sealing the top part of the cosmetic inner container, the top and bottom of which are open, with a filling mold, and turning the cosmetic inner container upside down to reverse-position the cosmetic inner container so that the sealed top part of the cosmetic inner container is directed downward and the open bottom part thereof is directed upward; and filling the cosmetic inner container through the bottom part thereof with the cosmetic material. In so doing, the top surface of the cosmetic material filled in the cosmetic container is smooth without any bumps, moisture seepage phenomenon is prevented, and cosmetic material having excellent applicability can be provided as the hardness thereof is relatively low by reverse-filling the cosmetic container with cosmetic material having an irreversible property, such as agar.
