Machine and method for making liquid and/or semi-liquid products
A machine for making a liquid or semi-liquid product of the frozen type which includes a container for processing the liquid or semi-liquid product, provided with a loading opening; a stirrer positioned inside said container; a refrigeration system, provided with a heat carrying fluid, and comprising a heat exchanger, associated with said container; said container, stirrer and heat exchanger forming a batch freezing unit, a supplying unit for supplying a basic liquid product, associated with said container for releasing a basic liquid product designed to be mixed with a basic powder; closing means for the supplying unit, operatively acting on the supplying unit and capable of being activated and deactivated to allow supplying of the basic liquid product; a control unit, designed to control the refrigeration system, said stirrer and the closing means.
Ice maker and method of controlling the same
The disclosure includes a water tray member receiving raw water for ice-making from a water tank, an ice making unit cooling the raw water received in the water tray member and forming ice, a heating unit heating the raw water received in the water tray member, and a control unit controlling an operation of the heating unit such that the raw water received in the water tray member is heated before the ice making unit cools the raw water in the water tray member. According to the ice maker, the temperature of the raw water received in an ice-making water tray is raised to a preset temperature at the initial stage of an ice making process, thereby preventing the formation of an opaque layer in the central portion of ice.
Refrigerator
Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a freezing compartment door opening or closing the freezing compartment, and an ice making device disposed on a rear surface of the freezing compartment door. The ice making device includes a case disposed on the freezing compartment door, an ice tray rotatably disposed inside the case, the ice tray making an ice therein, a knob exposed to the outside of the case, the knob being connected to a rotation shaft of the ice tray and rotated by being manipulated from the outside, and an elastic member disposed on the rotation shaft of the ice tray, the elastic member providing an elastic force into the ice tray so that the ice tray is rotated to an original position. Thus, a structure for rotating the ice tray may be simplified.
Extruded ice making machine with extrusion die secured without screws
A machine for making extruded ice obtained by passing a mass of ice in granules through an extrusion die (20) arranged at the end of a main cooled drum (4). The latter at one end has a flange (10) upon which a ring (14) clamping the die is fastened. Thus, screws for fastening the die to the main drum are not required, so that operations for the machine maintenance and for replacing the die are considerably facilitated.
Air inlet arrangement for ice cream or yogurt machine
An air inlet arrangement for an ice cream machine or yogurt machine includes an air-solution tube supported in a solution container which is adapted for storing a predetermined volume of solution at a predetermined fluid elevation, and an air nozzle. The air-solution tube has an elongated structure defining a top end, a bottom end, and a process channel between the top end and the bottom end, wherein the air-solution tube has a height greater than the fluid elevation of the solution container, wherein a volume of the air-solution tube is such that the air-solution tube is arranged to contain 80 g or less of the solution.
CEREAL FOODSTUFFS, CEREAL FOOD PRODUCTS, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A shaped, self-sustaining cereal product is formed from a mixture of cereal and a thickener, such as a milk. Aspects include forming the cereal product from a mixture that has been cooked, cooled, shaped, frozen, breaded, and then fried. Aspects also include forming a mixture that contains milk but with little or no water.
Icemaker with swing tray
A clear ice making system and method utilizes an ice forming tray pivotally connected to opposing side walls of an icemaker housing. Ice forming fingers of a dedicated evaporator extend into fluid within the ice forming tray, and are cooled by communication with the refrigerant circulating system of the refrigerator. A motor oscillates the ice forming tray about a longitudinal axis at a frequency of about 0.4-0.6 hertz as fluid channels freezes on the ice forming fingers over time, forming clear ice pieces. During an ice dispensing event, the motor pivots the ice making tray about the longitudinal axis such that fluid remaining within the ice making tray drains into a fluid reservoir below. The ice forming fingers are then heated to release the clear ice pieces for transfer from the fresh food compartment to the freezer compartment of the refrigerator.
Clear ice maker with varied thermal conductivity
A clear ice maker assembly for an appliance includes an ice tray rotatably coupled with a housing and horizontally suspended within an interior volume of the housing. The ice tray includes a metallic ice forming plate with a bottom surface, a substantially planar top surface and an edge portion. A containment wall extends upward from the top surface along the edge portion. A grid having at least one dividing wall extends across the top surface between the containment walls. A fluid line extends into the housing and supplies water to the top surface of the ice tray to be retained by the containment wall and the grid. A cooling source is thermally coupled to the bottom surface of the ice forming plate. The containment wall and the grid have a material with a lower thermal conductivity than the ice forming plate.
