Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to a case for a communication device, having two or more portions movable with respect to each other. A first case portion may cover a particular component or area of the communication device. Accessories or auxiliary structures may be available for use with the particular component, and may be configured to attach to or be used with a communication device housing of a particular size or shape. The first case portion may be moved relative to a second case portion, thereby exposing the component or area of the communication device for use with the accessory. Additional embodiments disclosed herein related to modular components that may be used with cases in order to provide various accessories and features, such as mounts, flashes, batteries, and the like.

The partial shell can have a window that consists of a first material which is different from a second material that forms at least one outer surface of the partial shell. The flange can have a first region that consists of a first material and a second region that consists of a second material.

The container also has an inner portion and a complementary outer portion with a gap between. The lid sealingly fits onto the upper free edge of the container. The lid includes a central member and a surrounding frame with a sealing ring. The sealing ring serves as an interface between a lower peripheral edge of the frame and the upper free edge of the container. The frame has fastening members which complementary features disposed about the upper free edge of the container. Within the container is a separator having an outer profile substantially complementary with an inner contour of the container, whereby the interior of the container may be selectively divided by a user.

A sealable container system contains a body and a lid assembly. The body includes an internal volume defined by a bottom and side wall(s) and divot(s) with a cavity at an upper edge of and in an inside surface of the side wall. The lid assembly includes a lid with outer and inner walls at its bottom side with a channel in-between. A gasket couples to the lid with a wall portion residing within the channel and a lip outside the channel. When the lid assembly is pressed into the body, the lip of the gasket abuts the divots and forms a gap with the side wall, where air in the internal volume exits through the gap. When the lip travels past the divots, the lip fully seats against the inside surface of the side wall, and negative air pressure is imparted to the internal volume of the body.

The modular panel 20 interlocking and reinforcing mechanism for building enclosures pertains to assembling boxes 21 with six of the same or similar modular panels 20 without extra components or connectors. My mechanism joins modular panels 20 by interlocking both grooves 22 attached by living hinges 24 on the panel edges, thus creating the box 21.

The embodiment of my mechanism joins modular panels 20 by interlocking both grooves 22 attached by living hinges 24 on the panel edges, thus creating the box 21. The living hinges 24 allow all the grooves 22 to turn forty five degrees at the corners. Upon interlocking both grooves 22 to each other at a forty five degree angle, it completes the ninety degree dihedral angle transition from one panel 20 to another for corners. Another embodiment of my mechanism is to assemble a box 21 in expanded sizes by using the same or similar modular panels 20 without extra accessories. Modular panels are connected side by side to expand the flat surface or transitioning to a ninety degree angle at the box corners. An additional embodiment of my mechanism includes similar sized reinforcing rods 30 embedded in the interlocked grooves 26, which allows them tightly interlock together and strengthen the box 21. One type of the interlocking groove 22 mentioned above is round with a narrower outer opening than the inner width.
