Piercing cap and piercer
The present application relates to a system for dispensing fluid. The system includes a flexible container including a spout that is in fluid communication with an interior region of the container. The system includes a cap configured to be mounted to the spout. The cap includes an opening that leads to a membrane and a first retention mechanism located in the opening. The system includes a piercing tube having a first end configured to puncture the membrane and a second end configured to be connected to a dispensing tube. The piercing tube includes a seal bead and a second retention mechanism. The piercing tube is inserted into the opening of the cap such that the first end punctures the membrane, the first and second retention mechanisms engage each other to retain the piercing tube in the cap, and the seal bead sealingly engages the cap.
LOCKING COVER FOR A CONTAINER HAVING A NECK, WITH A CAP HAVING BREAKABLE SECURING TABS
A locking cover for a container having a neck comprising: a cage made from plastic; a body made from plastic, which is fastened around the cage, the body comprising a central orifice; a cap configured to close the central orifice, the cap comprising a flat head to cover the orifice and fastening lugs caught between the cage and the body. Each fastening lug has a breakable zone, and the cap is made from a plastic material, different from the plastic material of the cage and from the plastic material of the body, the plastic material of the cap being chosen to have a resistance to rupture reduced by a dose of gamma irradiation for sterilizing the locking cover.

A sealing structure may include a lid including a first lid face, a second lid face opposite to the first lid face, and a fragile area between the first lid face and the second lid face, a cover including a first cover face facing the second lid face and covering the fragile area and a second cover face opposite to the first cover face, wherein a first distance between the second lid face and the first cover face is substantially equal to or less than a second distance between the first cover face and the second cover face, and a connector configured to connect the lid and the cover.
Acrylic polymers and compositions containing such polymers
Coated articles, methods and coating compositions containing (a) a crosslinkable carboxyl-functional acrylic polymer made by polymerizing monomers including acidic monomer, multi-ethylenically unsaturated monomer and optional styrene or substituted styrene, and (b) a nitrogen-containing carboxyl-reactive crosslinking agent such as a beta-hydroxyalkylamide or beta-hydroxyalkylurea compound. The coating composition is useful in coating metal substrates including interior or exterior surfaces of food or beverage cans. The cured coating compositions can exhibit both good flexibility and high Tg.

Pierceable closure valve assembly
The present application relates to a closure assembly for connection to a spout in fluid communication with a container. The closure assembly includes a housing configured to be secured to the spout and including a fluid passageway and a piercable membrane in the fluid passageway. The closure assembly includes a retention member configured to be secured to the housing and a flexible valve that is positioned in the fluid passageway of the housing and that is secured to the housing by the retention member. The closure assembly is configured to receive a piercing element that extends into the housing such that the piercing member can pierce the valve and the membrane, and the retention member has locking elements that engage the piercing element to lock the piercing element in place with respect to the assembly.
Reusable recyclable thermoformed shipping containers
A thermoformed, reusable, recyclable shipping container comprising a thermoformed shell and a plurality of separate load bearing columns secured within said shell at various locations whereby the stacking load imposed on the containers will be at least partially borne by the load bearing columns.
Closure with Liner
A closure for a container is provided with a top portion and a skirt depending from an outer periphery of the top portion. A generally circular rim extends downwards from the lower surface of the top portion. A liner is attached to the closure between an outer surface of the rim and an inner surface of the skirt. The liner is configured to provide a fluid tight seal for containers having varied neck dimensions and/or profiles. One or more projections extend into a space formed between the lower surface of the top portion, an inner surface of the skirt, and an outer surface of the rim, with the liner enveloping and being supported in the closure by the one or more projections.
Re-closeable cap for a can
A re-closeable cap is outfitted upon an upper portion of a beverage can or a series of beverage cans in a multi-pack arrangement for providing a protective barrier atop opened beverage cans. The re-closeable caps include a unibody material construction particularly configured to comprise a cap rim and a cap plate centrally located relative to the cap rim. The cap rim attaches the re-closeable cap to a can rim. The cap plate includes a static portion and at least one dynamic portion all formed from the unibody material construction with complex upper surface landscape and cut lines. The dynamic portions are pivotal relative to the static structure for providing a can-opening access aperture for enabling a user to consume can contents and closing the can-opening access aperture for enabling the user to cover the can opening during contents consumption.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER CAP FOR USE WITH BEVERAGE EXTRACTOR
A cap for engagement with a beverage container allows an extractor needle or other conduit to pass through a portion of the cap such that beverage can be removed from the container without removing the cap. The cap may include a septum that is radially and/or axially compressed and a barrier layer arranged to engage with the container to form a seal.
