Packaging for medical articles such as a size varying series of orthopedic implants
Packaging which can accommodate medical articles such as a series of orthopedic implants e.g. femoral stem components for prosthetic hip joints which have a dimension which varies minimally across the series but which vary considerably in overall size. The packaging is designed to minimize the travel of any member of the series packaged therein such that all the packaged components in the series can pass the standard handling and shipping tests typically used by the manufacturers of medical articles such as implants and preferably comprises two thermoformed tray components which each carry three types of cavities which are interconnected and designed to be assembled with their cavities facing each other to contain the lower stem, body and angled shaft of the stem component, respectively, with the cavities for the lower stem and the body cooperating to capture a minimally varying dimension of the series.
Bottle for pharmacological and/or nutritional active substances with hermetic closure pierceable with a needle-free syringe and automatically resealable
A bottle for containing pharmacological and/or nutritional active substances is described. The bottle comprises a closing cap pierceable by the pressure exerted with the luer of a needle-free syringe. The closing cap is made as a single piece including a check valve and closing lips which can be opened by introducing a syringe luer and can be elastically closed back upon the extraction of the luer introduced, and a membrane which is pierceable and elastically resealable to hermetically close the inlet end of the check valve.
CLIPPABLE SHUTTER WITH A DEFLECTOR SKIRT FOR A STEERING HOUSING
The invention concerns a device for protecting a steering mechanism of a vehicle, said device comprising a housing element defining a chamber of which the wall is perforated with at least one access opening, and a plastic cap that shuts said access opening, said cap having, along the director axis (XX) thereof, a stepped structure comprising a hub, which is engaged in a bore of the access opening and carries a sealing lining that engages with said bore, then a collar, of which the overall diameter is greater than the diameter of the bore, said collar being engaged by snap-fitting into a stop groove hollowed into the housing element, and forming a baffle deflector of which the diameter is greater than that of the bore.

BEVERAGE LID
Embodiments provide a beverage lid including an upper lid surface, a fluid exit port positioned at least in part in the upper lid surface, a vertical lid surface in contact with the upper lid surface and an anti-splash component in contact with at least one of the upper lid surface and vertical lid surface and positioned substantially between a fluid and the fluid exit. In the event of the fluid splashing, the anti-splash component substantially prevents fluid from exiting the lid through the fluid exit, and in the event of a user drinking from the fluid exit, the fluid moves around the anti-splash component and out the fluid exit.
Bottle neck insert for inhibiting spillage or accidental exposure, and related methods and systems
A bottle neck insert can include a cylindrical body having a first end and a second end, the cylindrical body having a plurality of rings; a flange provided at the first end, the flange protruding outwardly from the cylindrical body in a radial direction of the cylindrical body; and a valve section at the second end, the valve section having at least one slit, wherein the flange is configured to seat the insert onto a neck of a bottle and the valve section is configured to allow a pipette to pass through. A bottle storage system, can include a bottle having a neck with a smooth interior surface; an insert that is configured to fit inside the neck of the bottle; and a pipette assembly that is configured to proceed through the insert into the bottle.
Storage assembly
A storage assembly includes a first disk that may be positioned on a support surface. A storage array is provided and the storage array may contain a plurality of objects. The storage array has a plurality of bins and the objects may be positioned in the bins. The storage array is rotatably positioned on the first disk. A cover is removably coupled to the storage array. A handle is removably coupled to the storage array and the handle be manipulated thereby facilitating the storage array to be carried.

Portable beverage container with self opening hinged lid
A portable beverage container (e.g., an insulated, double-walled bottle) is disclosed. The container includes a lid pivotably connected to it by a hinge. The lid is arranged to be automatically pivoted open by the spring assembly when a catch on the lid is released so that the lid opens in a controlled, non-jarring manner. The spring assembly comprises an elastomeric member and a contact surface (e.g., a recess in a cap of the bottle). The elastomeric member is arranged to cooperate with the contact surface whereupon the elastomeric member operates bi-modally to effect the automatic opening of the lid.
MEDICINAL VIAL STOPPER
A medicinal vial stopper has a stopper plug extending from a stopper flange. The stopper plug is insertable with a compression fit in the neck of the vial. A first bore within the stopper plug has a radially inwardly facing first-bore surface having a constant first-bore diameter the entire first-bore length and a first-bore first end closed by a centrally-located piercable portion of the stopper flange. A second bore within the stopper plug has a radially inwardly facing second-bore surface having a constant second-bore diameter the entire second-bore length. The second-bore diameter is greater the first-bore diameter. The second-bore first end is in fluid communication with the first-bore second end. The centrally-located piercable portion of the stopper flange is resiliently deformable and upon being pierced by a spike tightly conforms to the radially outwardly facing sidewall of the shaft; thereby forming a fluid impenetrable seal.
