Container Lid with Closure
The invention relates to a lid for a container, in particular for a can, comprising: a lid surface (110) with a first opening (115) passing through the lid surface; an inner element (120), which is arranged on an inner side of the lid surface and has a ventilating opening (125), which passes through the inner element and is aligned with the first opening; an actuating element (130), which is arranged on an outer side of the lid surface and is formed preferably from plastics material, wherein the actuating element has a first (141) and a second (142) articulation region, said regions subdividing the actuating element into a first (131), a second (132) and a third (133) portion, and the second portion is arranged between the first and the third portions; wherein the first portion of the actuating element is arranged in abutment against the lid surface; the second portion of the actuating element can be pivoted relative to the first portion about the first articulation region and the second portion has a closing element, in particular a bung (135), for closing the ventilating opening; the third portion of the actuating element can be pivoted relative to the second portion about the second articulation region and the third portion has a first coupling element (161); and the inner element has a second coupling element (162), which can be coupled to the first coupling element.
LIQUID STORAGE AND DELIVERY MECHANISMS AND METHODS
A liquid storage and delivery mechanism and method of use are provided. The mechanism comprises shells that include corresponding reservoirs to hold individual quantities of liquid. The shells include filling ends and discharge ends. The filling ends include fill ports that open to the reservoirs in order to receive the corresponding quantity of liquid. The discharge ends are covered with closure lids to seal bottoms of the corresponding reservoirs. A shell management module is provided comprising a cover and a platform. The platform includes shell retention chambers to receive corresponding shells. The shell retention chambers are arranged in a predetermined pattern on the platform. The shell retention chambers are to orient shells with the fill ports exposed from the platform. The cover is mounted onto the platform to close the fill ports. The shells are to move individually, along the shell retention chambers, between non-actuated and actuated positions.
CLOSURE FOR A BEVERAGE CAN LID
A closure for a beverage can lid has a body having a back end, a front end, a front panel portion, a rear panel portion, and a step down section between the front panel portion and the rear panel portion, a left edge, and a right edge, the back end having a track portion, the front end having a left ear section having a left front edge, a central rounded recess, and a right ear section having a right front edge.
Reclosing septum cap for medical sample transport and processing
A pierceable cap may be used for containing sample specimens. The pierceable cap may prevent escape of sample specimens before transfer with a transfer device. The pierceable cap may fit over a vessel. An access port in the shell of the pierceable cap may allow passage of a transfer device through the pierceable cap. The shell receives a septum that has four half dome indentations, each indentation defining a quadrant of the septum interior. The indentations are separated by the septum floor which extends along respective first and second diameters of the septum and intersect at approximately ninety degrees. The half dome indentations guide a transfer device to the partially slitted portion of the septum floor.
Can end
A can end (10) has a curl (14) extending circumferentially about a longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential wall (15) extends downwardly. A strengthening member (16) is joined to lower segment of the circumferential wall (15). A center panel (12) extends radially inwardly from the circumferential strengthening member (16). A rivet (38) attaches a tab (28) to the center panel (12). A cover (60) is attached to the tab (28) and is rotation therewith. A frangible score (24) in the center panel (12) is breakable to form a pour opening (27) in the center panel (12). The cover (60) is rotatable to overlay the pour opening (27) and effectively reclose the pour opening (27) in a reclosed condition of the can end (10).
CONTAINER HAVING A HEAD PIECE, WHICH CONTAINER CAN BE OR IS FILLED WITH A MEDIUM
The invention relates to a container having a head piece (7), which container can be or is filled with a medium and is produced of plastic materials using a blow molding, filling, and sealing method, comprising a transition region (13) between the container (1) and at least one first type of a head surface (11), which is arranged on the head piece (7) at an end face and can be penetrated by means of a piercing or cutting part and extends with a specifiable curvature. Said container is characterized in that at least one second type of a head surface (41), which likewise has a specifiable. curvature, which is the same as the curvature of the head surface (39) of the first type, but preferably is different therefrom, is present on the head piece (7), that the head surfaces transition into each other in such a way that a whole surface is formed, which spans the free end of the transition region (13) directed away from the container (1), and that the head piece (7) is an integral component of the container (1).
Plug
A plug in accordance with one aspect of the present invention is a plug for a container for containing a liquid, the plug comprising a plug body, a lid adapted to engage the plug body, and a columnar elastic body contained in the plug body and pierceable with an extraction needle; the plug body having an elastic body storage part for storing the elastic body, a liquid guide path communicating with the elastic body storage part, a plurality of axially extending longitudinal ribs formed on an inner wall surface facing the elastic body storage part, and axially extending groove parts formed between the plurality of longitudinal ribs, while a circle passing vertexes of the plurality of longitudinal ribs has a diameter smaller than that of the elastic body.
Portable beverage container with self opening hinged lid
A portable beverage container (e.g., an insulated, double-walled bottle) is disclosed. The container includes a lid pivotably connected to it by a hinge. The lid is arranged to be automatically pivoted open by the spring assembly when a catch on the lid is released so that the lid opens in a controlled, non-jarring manner. The spring assembly comprises an elastomeric member and a contact surface (e.g., a recess in a cap of the bottle). The elastomeric member is arranged to cooperate with the contact surface whereupon the elastomeric member operates bi-modally to effect the automatic opening of the lid.

Container
A container includes a body, at least one partitioning plug, a stopper and a driving rod. The body has an opening on one end thereof, as well as a closed end on an other end thereof. The at least one partitioning plug is disposed in the body to divide the body into at least two chambers, wherein each of the at least one partitioning plug has a through-hole. The stopper is disposed at the opening of the body and has a through-hole. The driving rod is equipped with at least one blocking portion movably engaged in the through-hole or through-holes of the at least one partitioning plug, wherein one end of the driving rod protrudes from the opening of the body.
