Compositions and methods that modulate digestibility in a companion animal
A specific type of digestibility in a companion animal can be improved by adjusting the diet of the animal to increase the amount of a compound which positively or negatively modulates the specific type of digestibility or adjusting the diet of the animal to decrease the amount of a compound which positively or negatively modulates the specific type of digestibility. The specific type of digestibility can be one or more of organic matter digestibility, dry matter digestibility, fiber digestibility, energy digestibility, fat digestibility, or protein digestibility.

Polypeptides having serine protease activity and polynucleotides encoding same and their application in animal feed
The present invention relates to animal feed or animal feed additives comprising polypeptides having protease activity and uses thereof. Specifically, the proteases are serine S1 proteases from Janibacter, Terracoccus and Knoellia, all belonging to the family Intrasporangiaceae of the suborder Micrococcineae. The proteases have a high activity at a broad pH-range (pH 3-7) and are thus highly active during the entire passage through the digestive tract. It also relates to the methods for producing the proteases and for using the proteases to improve animal performance and the nutritional value of animal feed.
Parasiticidal oral veterinary compositions comprising systemically-acting active agents, methods and uses thereof
This invention relates to oral veterinary compositions for combating ectoparasites and endoparasites in animals, comprising at least one systemically-acting active agent in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. This invention also provides for improved methods for eradicating, controlling, and preventing parasite infections and infestations in an animal comprising administering the compositions of the invention to the animal in need thereof.
