Composition and method for preventing, reducing, alleviating or treating idiopathic vomiting
Compositions containing one or more compounds with inhibitory effect on a 5-HT3a and/or NK-1 receptor are effective for preventing or treating idiopathic vomiting in a mammal.
Method for mixing of particles
Continuous mixing in a static mixer possible can be used to add one kind of particles (such as an enzyme granular product) in a small amount to a larger amount of a different kind of particles (such as a powder stream of detergent powder), even if the powder characteristics are substantially different, with substantially no damage to the enzyme particles and with a high degree of homogeneity.
Method of forming dihydroferulic acid
The present invention relates to a method of forming dihydroferulic acid comprising providing ferulic acid and incubating the ferulic acid with a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM 1-1225 or a bacterial preparation of natural derivatives of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM 1-1225. An aspect of the invention is a composition comprising dihydroferulic acid and a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM 1-1225 or its natural derivatives. A further aspect of the invention is a composition comprising ferulic acid and a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM 1-1225 or its natural derivatives for use in the treatment or prevention of metabolic disease. Further aspects of the invention are the use of a bacterial preparation of Lactobacillus johnsonii CNCM 1-1225 or its natural derivatives; and a kit for preparing a food product.
Methyl- and Trifluromethyl-Substituted Pyrrolopyridine Modulators of RORC2 and Methods of Use Thereof
The present invention provides methyl- and trifluoromethyl-substituted pyrrolopyridines, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, methods of modulating ROR activity and/or reducing the amount of IL-17 in a subject, and methods of treating various medical disorders using such pyrrolopyridines and pharmaceutical compositions thereof.

ADJUVANT CONTAINING BAICALIN, PARTICULARLY FROM A SCUTELLARIA BAICALENSIS EXTRACT, AND ANIMAL FEED CONTAINING SUCH AN ADJUVANT
The invention relates to a nutritional adjuvant, comprising baicalin and/or baicalein diluted on a medium, and to a feed comprising such an adjuvant, for improving production performance in farm animals in stressful situations.
Transgenic microalgae and use thereof as a feed for delivery of interfering RNA molecules
The present invention provides non-propagating transgenic microalgae expressing at least one heterologous RNAi molecule. The RNAi-expressing non-propagating transgenic microalgae are used for oral delivery of the RNAi molecule to a target organism in its intact and functional form. The heterologous RNAi molecule, present within the microalgae, is characterized by being biologically active, exerting at least one specific effect on the organism consuming the microalgae or on a pathogen of said organism. In particular, the non-propagating transgenic microalgae are used as agents for biological control of animal and plant pests.

COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR ORALLY ADMINISTERING ONE OR MORE ACTIVE AGENTS TO A PET
A composition and method for administering an active agent to a pet, such as a dog, a cat or a horse. The composition may comprise a yogurt-based chewable delivery matrix and a plurality of water-soluble film pieces dispersed throughout the chewable delivery matrix. The composition may also comprise a delivery matrix having at least 15% by weight of crude protein and a plurality of water-soluble film pieces dispersed throughout the delivery matrix. The plurality of water-soluble film pieces encompass an active agent therein, wherein the active agent is rapidly released from the composition upon contact with saliva from the pet. At least a portion of the released active agents may be oromucosally absorbed by the pet.
