IMPROVED APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING AND MIXING COLD BEVERAGES
Apparatus for dispensing mixed beverages obtained by mixing fresh vegetable products that were previously cut into small pieces, ground and frozen before being inserted into the apparatus and kept frozen until they are ready to be used. This apparatus comprises a beverage pickup compartment accessible from outside, a plurality of distinct and separate containers suitable to contain a specific quantity of frozen product, and to selectively distribute a definite quantity of the product contained therein in a mixing station, in which said containers are associated with a respective collecting means to containers toward a respective path that includes said mixing station and a thawing station; the latter is suitable to be positioned either upstream or downstream of said station.
CITRUS-DERIVED LIQUID COMPOSITION
A liquid composition obtained by subjecting a fruit peel part of a citrus fruit with a cut space of from 0.5 to 5.0 mm on a surface to extraction in a solvent, the liquid composition containing an aroma component and a bitterness component; a container-packed beverage obtainable by mixing a liquid composition as defined above and a raw material for a beverage; and a method for producing a liquid composition, including subjecting a fruit peel part of a citrus fruit with a cut space of from 0.5 to 5.0 mm on a surface to extraction in a solvent, thereby preparing a liquid composition, the liquid composition containing an aroma component and a bitterness component of the citrus fruit. The foodstuff using the liquid composition of the present invention have “crispness” and “freshness” of the citrus fruit, so that the foodstuff can provide new tastes as luxurious products.
CARTRIDGE FOR PROVIDING A LIQUID PRODUCT, A SYSTEM FOR THE PROVIDING A LIQUID PRODUCT AND A METHOD USING SAID SYSTEM
The invention relates to a single use, or disposable cartridge, wherein the cartridge is provided with a capsule (2) in the form of a sealed reservoir. The reservoir is defined by a capsule body (5) that allows for use of muti-layer materials. Thus, the cartridge, more in particular the capsule body of the cartridge, can be provided with barrier properties that suit the ingredient held in the reservoir. As such, the cartridge is configured to provide a capsule, more in particular a sealed reservoir, for holding an ingredient, which capsule has barrier properties that fit the particular base ingredient to be held in the reservoir.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING BEER-TASTE BEVERAGE, AND METHOD FOR IMPARTING HOP AROMA TO BEER-TASTE BEVERAGE
This method for producing a beer-tasting beverage is provided with: a step in which a starting-material juice is boiled; a step in which the juice, having been boiled, is cooled; a step in which a hop suspension, i.e. a mixture of hops and an aqueous solvent, is boiled, and a hop transpiration component is recovered; a step in which the hop suspension, having been boiled, is added to the juice during or after the boiling step; and a step in which the recovered hop transpiration component is added to the cooled juice.

Refined oil compositions and methods for making
A refined oil comprising at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), wherein the oil has a fatty acid ester of monochloropropanediol, epoxypropanol, and mixtures thereof in an amount of 10 ppm or less, and processes for producing the oil. The oil is preferably a microbial or marine oil.

CAPSULE DOSAGE FORM OF METOPROLOL SUCCINATE
This disclosure provides an extended-release capsule dosage form of metoprolol succinate in the form of coated discrete units, wherein said capsule dosage form is bioequivalent to the marketed Toprol-XL® tablet. The extended-release capsule dosage form comprising coated discrete units can be sprinkled onto food to ease administration to patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets or capsules.
DRINK CONTAINER DELIVERY SYSTEM
Disclosed is a drink container delivery system, including methods of formation and use. The drink container delivery system provides a biodegradable and compostable drink container, ideal for small volume “energy shots” and other liquid compositions. The system is also used with granular solid and gel compositions. In addition to acting as a packaging vessel for the composition, micro droplets of the composition are dispersed throughout the substance of the container and are released by mechanical disruption, such as by chewing. The container is formed from wax or similar non-toxic material and can be safely chewed and eventually discarded responsibly by the user wherein the container material biodegrades naturally.
METHODS OF CONCENTRATING PHOSPHOLIPIDS
Phospholipid concentration methods involve use of a dairy composition, such as buttermilk or butter serum, as a starting material. The dairy composition is subjected to a first ultrafiltration, yielding a first permeate and a first retentate. The first retentate is treated with carbon dioxide and subjected to microfiltration, yielding a second permeate and a second retentate. The second retentate is treated with carbon dioxide and subjected to a second ultrafiltration, yielding a third permeate and a third retentate. The third retentate includes at least 30 wt % phospholipids.
