Fluid injection filtration system
A method of filtering fluid for injection into an injection well comprises detecting a fluid pressure in a conduit upstream of an actuator valve, verifying that the fluid pressure is within an operating pressure range, opening an actuator valve based on the verifying, receiving a fluid having suspended solids within a filter assembly in response to opening the actuator valve, actuating a pump in fluid communication with the filter assembly based on receiving the fluid within the filter assembly, and separating at least a portion of the suspended solids in the fluid within the filter assembly.
HYDROGEN GAS SUBSURFACE STORAGE (HSS)
A method of storing hydrogen gas in a subsurface formation may include compressing hydrogen gas by utilizing a compressor. This may create pressurized hydrogen gas that may be introduced into a subsurface formation through a wellhead to store as reserved hydrogen gas. The reserved hydrogen gas may be stored and maintained in the subsurface formations for a period. Another method in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure relates to recovering previously stored hydrogen gas from a subsurface storage for energy production. The method may include extracting reserved hydrogen gas from a subsurface formation. The extracted hydrogen gas may be purified by using at least a dehydrator, a pressure swing adsorption unit (PSA) and at least a temperature swing adsorption unit (TSA). The purified hydrogen gas may then be pressurized and used as a fuel for combustion in a turbine-generator unit.

End caps for stormwater chambers and methods of making same
A disclosed corrugated end cap includes a corrugated frame having one or more corrugations defined by one or more sets of alternating peaks and valleys. The end cap also includes one or more ribs disposed in one or more of the valleys and one or more valley reinforcements disposed in the valleys and running over a top surface of the corrugated frame. For example, the one or more ribs may be configured to increase a resistance of the frame to bending. Additionally or alternatively, the top surface, a front surface, and a rear of the corrugated frame surround a recess configured to receive latch ridges from a stormwater chamber.
INJECTOR RISKINESS SCORE (IRS) MATRIX
Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for determining risks of injector wells. Inputs for multiple risk criteria are received through an injector riskiness score (IRS) user interface for processing risks posed by an injector well to a new well being drilled in proximity to the injector well. A weighted sum of values corresponding to inputs for the risk multiple criteria is determined based on the inputs. An IRS score is determined based on the weighted sum. A determination is made whether the injector well has an IRS score above a predefined threshold. A shut-down recommendation for the injector well is identified in response to determining that the injector well has an IRS score above the predefined threshold.
Geotechnical characteristics of tailings via lime addition
Methods and systems for treating tailings at an elevated pH using lime are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method comprises (i) providing a tailings stream comprising bicarbonates and a pH less than 9.0, (ii) adding a coagulant comprising calcium hydroxide to the tailings stream to form a mixture having a pH of at least 11.5 and a soluble calcium level no more than 800 mg/L, and (iii) dewatering the mixture to produce a product having a solids content of at least 40% by weight. In some embodiments, the pH and soluble calcium level of the mixture cause chemical modification of clay materials of the mixture via pozzolanic reactions. In some embodiments, the undrained shear strength of the product increases over a period of time of at least two days.
UNDERGROUND STORAGE SYSTEM WITH V SHAPED SUPPORT LEGS
Individual four-sided shaped modules used in an assembly for underground storage of storm water and other fluid storage needs. Modules are assembled into a resultant four-sided tiling shape for maximized structural strength and material use efficiency. Internal four-sided shaped modules are assembled and encased by external four-sided shaped modules. Internal adjacent modules are in direct fluid communications with one another through a channel-less chamber. Internal four-sided shaped modules drain into four-sided shaped modules chamber where fluid is either stored or drained. Assemblies include various top and side pieces along with access ports for entry into said assembly.

Hydrostatically compensated compressed gas energy storage system
A compressed gas energy storage system may include an accumulator for containing a layer of compressed gas atop a layer of liquid. A gas conduit may have an upper end in communication with a gas compressor/expander subsystem and a lower end in communication with accumulator interior for conveying compressed gas into the compressed gas layer of the accumulator when in use. A shaft may have an interior for containing a quantity of a liquid and may be fluidly connectable to a liquid source/sink via a liquid supply conduit. A partition may cover may separate the accumulator interior from the shaft interior. An internal accumulator force may act on the inner surface of the partition and the liquid within the shaft may exert an external counter force on the outer surface of the partition, whereby a net force acting on the partition is less than the accumulator force.
