Grabber for load handling apparatus and crane
A grabber for a load handling apparatus having an optical distance measuring device and a fastening mechanism that fastens the optical distance measuring device in a flexible manner to the grabber. The grabber may be provided in a crane, such as a boom crane, a bridge crane, a container crane or a gantry crane.
Vehicle Cargo Rack System with Powered Lift
A cargo rack system having a base framework that attaches to a vehicle. The base framework has an inclined framing element and a horizontal framing element. Linkage mounts are disposed within the interior of the framing elements, wherein the linkage mounts are accessible through slots. A linear actuator reciprocally moves the linkage mounts between a first position and a second position. A cargo frame is provided. Linkages connect the cargo frame to the linkage mounts moved by the linear actuator. The linkages move the cargo frame between a first configuration, wherein the primary plane of the cargo frame is parallel to the inclined framing element, and a second configuration, wherein the primary plane of the cargo frame is parallel to the horizontal framing element. The cargo frame has extension arms that can be selectively extended and retracted in the primary plane.
Containment Unit For Facilitating Parcel Delivery By Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
A system for facilitating parcel delivery is provided. They system comprises a delivery platform mounted to a structure and positioned at a first height. The delivery platform comprises a delivery surface. The delivery surface has an elevated surface, and in some embodiments, a stationary surface. The elevated surface is capable of raising and lowering via a lift cable. Further, the elevated surface is capable of receiving a parcel from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) configured to transport and release the parcel. Upon receipt of the parcel, the elevated surface having the parcel is lowered to a second height that is less than the first height in which the delivery platform is positioned.

CARGO DOOR OPERATING METHOD AND DEVICE
A method for operating a cargo door of an aircraft. The method comprises, opening the cargo door inwardly in relation to a cargo door opening by pivoting the cargo door to an open position adjacent a ceiling of a cargo space. The cargo door is supported by a door frame during opening of the cargo door. The method further comprises, moving the cargo door in relation to the door frame to a position wherein the cargo door opening is substantially free from the cargo door. The cargo door is supported by a support frame, moveable in relation to the door frame, during this movement. The invention also concerns a device for operating a cargo door of an aircraft.
