A conveying device comprises: a plurality of holding mechanisms attached to a rotary shaft; a speed-changing mechanism which changes the angular speed of each of the plurality of holding mechanisms; a first cover extending from a first holding mechanism toward a second holding mechanism, such that the first cover covers a gap between the two holding mechanisms from an outside thereof in a radial direction of the rotating shaft; and a second cover extending from the second holding mechanism toward the first holding mechanism such that the second cover covers the gap from the outside thereof in the radial direction, and overlapping with the first cover. The two covers have lengths enough to be able to overlap with each other in the radial direction in a state in which the two holding mechanisms are furthest apart from each other.

An image forming apparatus is capable of easily changing a scheduled stacking position of any image forming job. An image region in which an overall arrangement mode of the image forming apparatus and sheet discharge apparatus is displayed and a list region in which standby jobs are listed are displayed on a monitor screen. In the image region, a sheet bundle of the selected standby job is displayed on a tray that is set as the scheduled stacking position of the selected standby job. When the sheet bundle is selected and dragged and dropped by a mouse pointer on the monitor screen, the tray being set as the scheduled stacking position is changed, and a position at which the sheet bundle is displayed is also changed.

Method for feeding laminar elements into an insertion device and feeding station

A method for feeding laminar elements into an introducer associated with a graphic printing station provided for printing at least one of the faces of the laminar element, wherein a plurality of laminar elements are grouped in an orderly manner in a stacked group of laminar elements that extends upwards, such that the longitudinal axis of each of the laminar elements is located perpendicular with respect to an advance direction of the group, the advance direction of the group being perpendicular to the advance direction of the introducer. This group of laminar elements is turned 180 degrees with respect to a rotation axis that is parallel to the advance direction of the introducer, such that the upper face of each one of the laminar elements is oriented downwards, the turned laminar element advancing in a direction perpendicular to the advance direction of the introducer.

A handling system (100) for handling stackable flat elements, in particular carton elements. The system (100) includes a supporting table (102) on which at least an edge portion (303) of a stack (101) of flat elements is supportable, a clamping device (103) configured for clamping a first part (113) of the edge portion of the stack (101) to the supporting table (102), and a lifting device (104) configured for lifting a second part (114) of the stack (101) from the supporting table (102). The lifting device (104) and the clamping device (103) are arranged to the supporting table (102) such that the stack (101) is bendable by clamping the first part (113) of the stack (101) onto the supporting table (102) by the clamping device (103) and lifting the second part (114) of the stack (101) from the supporting table (102) by the lifting device (104) at the same time such that the stack (101) is bent around a bending axis (109), wherein the bending axis (109) extends within a plane parallel to a supporting plane (112) of the supporting surface (111).

System for transferring articles from a container

An automated system for transferring articles from a container. An item transfer system includes retainers configured to secure a first tray and a second tray, a movable paddle assembly, a frame, and a plurality of actuators. The system is configured to transfer articles from the first tray to the second tray by an automated process including securing the articles within the first tray with the paddle assembly, rotating the frame by approximately 90 to 100, moving the paddle assembly in a series of linear translations to remove the items from the first tray and place the items into the second tray, rotating the frame back to its initial orientation, and releasing the items into the second tray.

System and apparatus for print media manufacturing buffering and sorting, and corresponding method thereof
