Sheet processing apparatus capable of creating fold section, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
A sheet processing apparatus capable of creating fold sections suitable for an apparatus that performs saddle-stitch processing on fold sections. A sheet processing apparatus includes a printer engine configured to form an image on a recording sheet. The sheet processing apparatus sets a bookbinding lap which is a distance between a first sheet end and a second sheet end of the recording sheet assumed to have been folded in two. A finisher creates the fold section by forming a folding line on recording sheets according to a reference line which is shifted from the centerline of the recording sheet by the bookbinding lap.

Apparatus and method for printing onto a polymeric web
The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for securely applying print to a web of continuous polymeric film. The web can first travel in a machine direction on a tensioning roller and onto a folding board whereupon the web is divided into first and second partial widths with a cross-section of the web taking on a U-shape or a V-shape. In between the cross-section of these two partial widths a printer can be placed such that the printer prints onto an inner surface of first partial width. Once the printing is complete, the folding of the web can be completed such that an inner surface of the second partial width is in contact with, covers, and protects the printed matter placed onto the first partial width.

METHOD FOR FOLDING ABSORBENT SHEET PRODUCTS
A method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products is provided. In an embodiment, the method includes folding an absorbent sheet inwardly along a first folding line to form a first inner panel, folding the absorbent sheet inwardly along a second folding line, substantially parallel to the first folding line, to form a second inner panel, folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line substantially perpendicular to the first and the second folding lines to form a first outer panel and a second outer panel, sandwiching the first and the second inner panels therebetween to obtain one of the absorbent sheet products, and inserting at least a section of at least one of the first and the second outer panels of each one of the absorbent sheet products between the first and the second outer panels of an adjacent one of absorbent sheet products of the stack.
METHOD FOR FOLDING CALIFORNIA STATE FLAG
Disclosed are the embodiments of a folded. California state flag. The method for folding applies to multiple sizes of California flags and the flag material can be nylon or cotton. The folded flag will have a triangular shape. The folded flag can be reproduced by one or more individuals and does not require special equipment or machinery. The completed folded flag can be encased in a standard three-corner flag case. The flag will retain the identity of the State of California.
Dental appliances with folded material components
Dental devices having folded material. A dental appliance may include a specialized region configured to impart one or more specialized forces to one or more particular areas of a patient's dentition. The specialized region may include a reinforcement structure including a rigid three- dimensional structure, where the rigid three-dimensional structure includes repeating geometric shapes defined by folds in a sheet of one or more polymeric materials. The folds may be folded along a pattern of lines according to the repeating geometric shapes. The rigid three-dimensional structure may have a greater thickness than the unfolded sheet so as to impart a greater rigidity to the specialized region compared to the unfolded sheet, thereby reinforcing the specialized region for imparting the one or more specialized forces to the one or more particular areas of the patient's dentition.
Absorbent sheet products and method for folding same
A stack of interfolded absorbent sheet products comprising a plurality of absorbent sheets and a method of folding and stacking the same. Each one of the absorbent sheets is folded twice about a first axis to define two inwardly folded inner panels and at least once about a second axis to define at least two outer panels sandwiching the inner panels therebetween. The second axis is substantially perpendicular to the first axis, Each of the absorbent sheet products comprises at least one outer panel at least partially sandwiched between a pair of outer panels of an adjacent one of the absorbent sheet products of the stack. Each one of the absorbent sheet products is entirely detached from all other absorbent sheet products of the stack.

Sheet folding device
A sheet folding device includes: a sheet receiving unit with a pair of guide plates to restrict opposite sides of one or a plurality of stacked sheets and a striking portion to be struck by leading ends of the introduced sheets; a roller group to introduce the sheets into the sheet receiving unit, strike the introduced sheets on the striking portion to form a bent portion on the sheets, and nip and fold the formed bent portion and discharge the sheets from the sheet receiving unit; and a curve forming unit to form a curved portion on the sheets, at a position closer to the leading ends of the sheets than a position where the bent portion to be folded by the roller group is formed, the curved portion being curved in a width direction perpendicular to a direction of transfer of the sheets.
