The method provides that in a special operating mode of the elevator system, a first elevator car is assigned at least one auxiliary device, the auxiliary device providing a replacement function for at least one function of one of the functional components of the first elevator car, the corresponding function of a functional component of the first elevator car being replaced with the replacement function provided by the auxiliary device, and the elevator system continuing to be operated by using the replacement function provided. The invention furthermore relates to an elevator system configured for carrying out such a method.

Method and monitoring device for monitoring an operation of an elevator door arrangement

An elevator door arrangement is monitored wherein the elevator door arrangement includes at least one door wing and an electric actuator for displacing the door wing in at least one of an opening direction and a closing direction during a door motion event. A method for performing the monitoring includes a learning phase and an application phase. During the learning phase, different types of door motion events are identified and for each type of event a reference motion event duration is determined. During the application phase, a door arrangement operation is observed such as to detect door motion events and the different types of door motion events are distinguished upon comparison of the reference motion event durations with actual motion event durations measured during the application phase. Using the method, door motion events in an elevator may be recognized and monitored in an automatic manner.

A method and a system for efficiently managing space inside an elevator cab is described. The system comprises a camera system, an image processing unit, a processing unit, and a display unit. The system processes the image captured by the camera system comprising images of the occupants including passengers and objects inside the elevator. The captured image is transferred to the image processing unit. The image processing unit processes the image for further evaluation by the processing unit. The processing unit provides possible rearrangement of the passengers and the objects (occupants) to be rendered by the display unit.

Testing for wireless beacons of elevator system and field installation of the elevator system

A mobile terminal of the present invention is configured to test a wireless beacon that is mounted in an elevator system and used for establishing a wireless connection with the mobile terminal and receiving service request commands. The wireless beacon is at least coupled to an elevator controller of the elevator system. The mobile terminal is configured to include: a connection testing module configured to test whether the wireless beacon can successfully establish the wireless connection with the mobile terminal and/or configured to test whether the wireless beacon can successfully establish a communication connection with the elevator controller; and a service request testing module configured to send a service request test command to the wireless beacon to enable the wireless beacon to automatically complete a service request test on the wireless beacon.

Method for understanding and planning elevator use

An elevator management system includes an elevator system and a service provider controller. The elevator system is configured to control at least one elevator car and to transmit a status message indicating status data of the at least one elevator car. The service provider controller is configured to determine a current operating mode of the at least one elevator car based on the status message and to assign the at least one elevator car to a current status group among a plurality of different status groups based on the current operating mode.

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator compensation assembly includes a tie down mechanism and at least one compensation sheave that has an outer surface configured to engage at least one compensation rope member. At least one damper is associated with the tie down mechanism for resisting movement of the tie down mechanism in at least one direction. At least one detector detects movement of the tie down mechanism along the direction and provides an output indicating at least one characteristic of the detected movement.

METHOD, DEVICE, AND EARLY WARNING SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ELEVATOR HEALTH STATE

An elevator health state online monitoring method includes: acquiring parameters such as a position, a three-axis acceleration, an inclination angle, and a noise of a car in a running state of an elevator, left and right brake temperatures of a traction machine, and an environment temperature. Parameter measuring devices are installed on a top of the car and at the brake side of the traction machine. The parameters are collected to a cloud database through a wireless network after being acquired, and a judgment result is given through background automatic analysis. The method is mainly used for monitoring whether key mechanical parts of the elevator are abnormal or not, including guide rail deformation, guide shoe abrasion, car sliding, brake abrasion, adhesion, and the like. This way the health state of the elevator can be automatically monitored, and early warning can be carried out in time when abnormity is found.

ELEVATOR GUIDE RAIL BLOCK ASSEMBLY

An elevator guide rail block assembly configured for use with an elevator car or counterweight guide rail is provided. The elevator guide rail block assembly includes a framework and a plurality of rotatable cams attached to the framework. An actuator element is configured to actuate rotation of the plurality of rotatable cams. A clamp structure is attached to the framework and spaced apart from the plurality of rotatable cams. In a rotated orientation, the combination of the plurality of rotatable cams and the clamp structure form a clamping action configured to secure the elevator guide rail block assembly to an elevator car or counterweight guide rail.
