Field machining of wind turbine gearboxes
A gearbox repair assembly is disclosed herein. The gearbox repair assembly includes a sleeve having an inner diameter configured to receive a bearing assembly and an outer diameter configured to fit within a bore of a gearbox housing. The gearbox housing can be part of a gearbox of a wind turbine. The gearbox repair assembly further includes a retaining plate configured to be attached to the gearbox housing for preventing an outer race of the bearing assembly from rotating in the bore relative to the gearbox housing. Also provided are methods to repair such a gearbox. The gearbox repair assembly and related methods reduce the time and cost needed to repair the gearboxes.
Lift systems with continuous in-rail charging
Rail-mounted lift systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, the lift system includes a rail having at least one conductor positioned on an upper interior surface of the rail. A carriage may be slidably disposed in the rail for relative movement to the rail. The carriage generally includes a carriage body, at least one pair of support wheels rotatably coupled to the carriage body and slidably engaged with the rail, and a conductor truck comprising at least one conductive roller rotatably attached to the conductor truck. The conductor truck may be mounted to the carriage body with a biasing member upwardly biasing the conductive roller into rolling engagement with the at least one conductor. A lift unit may be coupled to the carriage body and includes a motor paying out and taking up a lifting strap. The lift unit is electrically coupled to the at least one conductive roller.

Carrier configured to transport various sized objects
A motorized container carrier can be configured to travel along a suspended railway. The motorized container carrier can include at least one motorized trolley configured to move the motorized container carrier along the suspended railway. The motorized container carrier can include a plurality of end beams with container engagement devices configured to interact with containers of various lengths. In some embodiments, the container engagement devices are twist locks. The motorized container carrier can include a system of bumpers and/or guide wheels.

Crane, in particular overhead crane or gantry crane, comprising at least one crane girder
The invention relates to a crane, in particular an overhead crane or gantry crane, having at least one crane girder that extends horizontally in a longitudinal direction. The crane is designed as a trussed girder and comprises struts which connect an upper run and a lower run together. The upper run and lower run of the trussed girder are designed in a laminar manner, on which a crane trolley having a lifting gear can be moved. The at least one crane girder is advantageously improved by virtue of the fact that the struts are designed in a laminar manner, each strut has a main surface that extends transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the crane girder. The first or second strut end of each strut has at least one aperture on the main surface that lies against the lower run or the upper run.

Cask transport assembly
A low profile transport device includes a frame having a top surface and a recess disposed along the top surface to hold and transport an object. The low profile transport device also includes a plurality of wheels disposed below the frame that support the frame, and a plurality of pivotable wheel struts coupled to the wheels. The wheel struts are each individually adjustable relative to the frame from a first position relative to the frame to a second position relative to the frame to allow the low profile transport device to climb an obstacle without tilting the frame. The low profile transport device also includes a motor that generates movement of the wheels.
Unknown
A tooling making it possible to mount a module directly in an aircraft without making any modifications to the module. This tooling is made up of upper beams connected to the structure of the aircraft, lower beams secured to the module, lift elements connecting the lower beams to the upper beams and a drive system. The lift elements can move along the upper beams. The drive system makes it possible to convey the module to its functional location in the aircraft, by moving it along the upper beams via the lift elements. The principle of this tooling is to suspend the module in order to ensure and control its movement in the aircraft.
