A method for securing a luffing jib crane includes: acquiring a lifting/lowering setpoint; piloting a lifting motor by a converter that applies a motor command speed as a function of the setpoint; driving, in lifting or in lowering, the jib by a lifting cable under the action of the lifting motor; calculating, by a control/command system, a lifting/lowering theoretical angular speed from the motor command speed or from the setpoint; calculating, by the control/command system, a lifting/lowering actual angular speed from a jib angle measured by an angle sensor; comparing the actual angular speed and the theoretical angular speed; and commanding the stopping of the lifting motor according to the result of the comparison.

Telescoping boom with rotary extension and locking system

A telescoping boom includes a boom actuator having a fixed part and a movable part, the movable part configured to move along a length the fixed part, a rotary actuator operably connected to the movable part and configured to rotate relative to the movable part, a coupling pin connected to and configured to rotate with the rotary actuator, and a telescoping boom having a plurality of boom sections including a base section and one or more telescoping sections configured for telescoping movement along a longitudinal boom axis relative to the base section. A rotary extension and locking system is mounted on at least one telescoping section and is configured for selective coupling to the boom actuator and selective locking with a nearest outwardly adjacent boom section.

Lifting device

The present disclosure provides a lifting device comprising: a telescopic boom, comprising a basic section, at least one primary telescopic section and at least one secondary telescopic section; a telescopic control mechanism, comprising a primary telescopic drive mechanism that controls synchronous telescoping of the at least one primary telescopic section and a secondary telescopic drive mechanism that controls synchronous telescoping of the at least one secondary telescopic section; a torque limiter, comprising a first length sensor and a second length sensor, wherein a first sensor body and a telescopic end of a first length measuring cable of the first length sensor are respectively connected to tails of adjacent two section in the basic section and the at least one primary telescopic section; and a second sensor body and a telescopic end of a second length measuring cable of the second length sensor are respectively connected to tails of adjacent two section in the primary telescopic section adjacent to the at least one secondary telescopic section and the at least one secondary telescopic section. The lifting device of the present disclosure can reduce the length of the length measuring cable of a length sensor and thus reduce its volume and weight.

Hydraulic controller for hydraulically actuated liftable and lowerable hook of crane

A hydraulically actuated liftable and lowerable hook of a crane has a hydraulic system comprises at least one working machine with a hydraulic motor driving a winch. At least one drive machine comprising a pump is connected directly or indirectly to at least one of the working machines by means of two connections via corresponding working lines, which serve as a feed or return depending on the operating state of the working machine. A lowering brake valve is provided in one working line and is connected to the other working line via a control line such that the lowering brake valve is displaceable against a restoring force by pressure, which prevails in the other working line and is forwarded via the control line, from the blocking position of said valve into a through-flow position for lowering the hook by means of a primary winch.

Crane, method for assembling a crane and method for disassembling a crane

A crane, a method for assembly of a crane and a method for disassembly of a crane are disclosed. In accordance with the method, a first mast is fixed in a vertical position. A top mast section of a second mast is positioned adjacent to and outside of the first mast. The top mast section is moved vertically upwards, and this movement is guided by a guide system. Then, the top mast section is fixed relative to the first mast at a position which is at a larger vertical distance from the crane base. Then, a first intermediate mast section of the second mast is fixed to a lower end of the top mast section to build up the second mast. Then, the first intermediate mast section is connected to a pivot, and the second mast is pivoted away from the first mast.
