In another aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for enhancing cognitive response in a subject during cancer treatment, the method including the steps of administering cancer treatment (administration of at least one chemotherapeutic agent and/or application of radiation) to the subject in conjunction with the administration of choline, a choline metabolite, a choline precursor molecule, or a combination thereof. In still another aspect, choline, a choline metabolite, a choline precursor molecule, or a combination thereof can be administered in the form of a choline-enriched diet, a choline supplement, or a combination thereof. In some aspects, the method also enhances the effectiveness of chemotherapy.

An oligopeptide with anti-inflammatory activity, a preparation method, and an application thereof are provided, belonging to the field of biotechnology. An amino acid sequence of the oligopeptide is shown as SEQ ID NO:1. The preparation method includes: digesting a wheat germ protein through a simulated gastrointestinal tract to obtain protein digestion products; separating the protein digestion products by ultrafiltration membranes to obtain components I (>3 kDa), II (1˜3 kDa), and III (<1 kDa), screening the components to obtain III as an anti-inflammatory active component, and finally identifying the oligopeptide by LC-MS/MS polypeptide. In one embodiment, the invention provides a food product comprising a reversibly sealed container and a soup, wherein the soup is in the container and comprises a total volume of 200-2000 mls, a vegetable or meat component, 300 to 2500 calories, a macronutrient caloric distribution comprising: 20-80% fat, 10-45% protein, and 10-65% carbohydrate, about 2% to about 40% medium chain triglycerides, omega 3 fatty acids in an amount of 100 to 2000 mg and less than 20 solid food particles having a volume greater than about 20 cm.sup.3.
