Assay Apparatuses, Methods and Reagents
We describe apparatuses, systems, method, reagents, and kits for conducting assays as well as process for their preparation. They are particularly well suited for conducting automated sampling, sample preparation, and analysis in a multi-well plate assay format. For example, they may be used for automated analysis of particulates in air and/or liquid samples derived therefrom in environmental monitoring.
CAN OPENER WITH ADAPTATION FUNCTION
The present disclosure discloses a can opener with an adaptation function, including a shell assembly; a circuit board and a speed reduction transmission assembly which are separately arranged in the shell assembly; an eccentric assembly movably penetrating through the shell assembly, wherein the eccentric assembly is in meshing and transmission connection with the speed reduction transmission assembly; an integrated knife flywheel penetrating through the shell assembly and detachably arranged on the eccentric assembly, wherein the integrated knife flywheel includes an integrally formed integrated knife flywheel main body, a resisting slot body, and a cutting tool body; the knife flywheel main body is in a slope design; the resisting slot body is an annular slot; the cutting tool body is a ring tool.
Thermal printing on wall of tubular vessel
A sample container of patient sample material includes a sample container barcode containing patient-identifying information. The sample container barcode on the sample container is read, and a tubular reaction vessel is provided to a printer module configured to print a barcode directly onto a surface of the tubular reaction vessel. The printer module prints a barcode on the surface of the reaction vessel by a thermal printing method, and the barcode printed onto the reaction vessel is associated with the sample container barcode.
Beverage container opener
A combination handle clamp, beverage bottle and can opener having a generally curved shaped body and integral attachment point to allow connection to other personal item such as a key ring. A secondary and tertiary integral curved section form a pair of loading points for fixing open a handle-trigger assembly and incorporate a gripping edge to facilitate opening a crimped or vacuum sealed bottle top. The tertiary curved section additionally functions as a second clamp position for the larger handles and also doubles as a pry mechanism to assist opening a pop-top can. The said gripping edge of the invention which contacts with said bottle top to be constructed of a durable material that won't abrade from its intended use.
Needle for accessing a beverage in container
A needle for accessing a container having a closure, such as a cork of a wine bottle. The needle includes first and second lumens each having a D-shaped cross section and a flat surface. The first and second lumens are attached with the flat surfaces in contact, and each lumen may have an outlet opening at a distal end. The needle may be used with a beverage dispenser that operates by introducing gas into a container via one lumen, and receives beverage from the container via another one of the lumens.
TlP SET
Provided is a tip set used for a genetic testing device. The tip set includes a piercing tip breaking a lid portion of a reagent container filled with a reagent to open the reagent container and an injection tip injecting a sample solution containing a target gene nucleic acid into a microchip. The injection tip has a reservoir storing the sample solution in an internal space and an injection needle protruding from the reservoir, an opening opening the internal space to a side opposite to the injection needle is formed in the reservoir, and the piercing tip has a fitting portion fitted to the injection tip to connect the injection tip and the piercing tip.
Pump bottle access device
A bottle access device comprising a body, a central bore extending partway through the body from a first end, and one or more radial bores extending radially from the central bore through the side of the body. The bores may form a path from outside the body, through the radial bores, through the central bore, and out the first end. The device may be inserted through the wall of a plastic bottle, allowing access to product within the bottle via the bores by squeezing the bottle. The body may be threaded and the second end of the body may be pointed, allowing the device to act as a self-tapping screw for insertion into the wall of the bottle.
Piercing device for venting a container
A container for dispensing a liquid includes a body and a piercing device. The body includes an interior storage volume, an outlet through the first wall for dispensing the liquid, a first track disposed in a first side wall of the body, and a second track disposed in a second side wall of the body, the second side wall opposite the first side wall. The piercing device can be slidably coupled to the body and includes a first rail configured to slide within the first track, a second rail configured to slide within the second track, and a piercer that includes a piercing end. The piercer can slide from a first position to a second position to pierce the body and create a vent opening.

Cover removal system for use in controlled environment enclosures
An apparatus and method are presented for removing container covers within a controlled environment enclosure without using gloves. The apparatus comprises an articulated arm apparatus and a gripping apparatus and can further comprise a controller. The articulated arm apparatus can be configurable for holding and moving a container in three dimensions; and the gripping apparatus can be configured for gripping a container cover sealing the container. The method comprises moving the container using the articulated arm apparatus while holding a gripping area of the container cover substantially stationary using the gripping apparatus. The apparatus can further comprise a sensor configured for supplying information to the controller for determining the location of the container cover gripping area and an orientation of the container cover. The method can further comprise inspecting the container cover using the sensor. The container can be moved along a path and within a space determined by the controller.
