Bulk synthesis of Janus nanomaterials
Synthesizing Janus material including forming a lamellar phase having water layers and organic layers, incorporating nanosheets and a functional agent into the lamellar phase, and attaching the functional agent to the nanosheets in the lamellar phase to form Janus nanosheets.
Highly stretchable three-dimensional percolated conductive nano-network structure, method of manufacturing the same, strain sensor including the same and wearable device including the same
In a method of manufacturing a highly stretchable three-dimensional (3D) percolated conductive nano-network structure, a 3D nano-structured porous elastomer including patterns distributed in a periodic network is formed. A surface of the 3D nano-structured porous elastomer is changed to a hydrophilic state. A polymeric material is conformally adhered on the surface of the 3D nano-structured porous elastomer. The surface of the 3D nano-structured porous elastomer is wet by infiltrating a conductive solution in which a conductive material is dispersed. A 3D percolated conductive nano-network coupled with the 3D nano-structured porous elastomer is formed by evaporating a solvent of the conductive solution and removing the polymeric material.
Neutral atom quantum information processor
Systems and methods relate to arranging atoms into 1D and/or 2D arrays; exciting the atoms into Rydberg states and evolving the array of atoms, for example, using laser manipulation techniques and high-fidelity laser systems described herein; and observing the resulting final state. In addition, refinements can be made, such as providing high fidelity and coherent control of the assembled array of atoms. Exemplary problems can be solved using the systems and methods for arrangement and control of atoms.
Nanostructure Coating Materials and Methods of Use Thereof
Nanostructured coating materials, methods of their production, and methods of use in a variety of applications are described. The nanostructured materials described herein include one or more 2.sup.+ and/or 3.sup.+ metal ion(s), optionally in a ternary phase, on a substrate.
Nanostructure Ink Compositions for Inkjet Printing
The invention pertains to the field of nanotechnology. The disclosure provides nanostructure compositions comprising (a) at least one organic solvent; (b) at least one population of nanostructures comprising a core and at least one shell, wherein the nanostructures comprise inorganic ligands bound to the surface of the nanostructures; and (c) at least one poly(alkylene oxide) additive. The nanostructure compositions comprising at least one poly(alkylene oxide) additive show improved solubility in organic solvents. And, the nanostructure compositions show increased suitability for use in inkjet printing. The disclosure also provides methods of producing emissive layers using the nanostructure compositions.
LARGE SCALE PRODUCTION OF THINNED GRAPHITE, GRAPHENE, AND GRAPHITE-GRAPHENE COMPOSITES
Embodiments described herein relate generally to large scale synthesis of thinned graphite and in particular, few layers of graphene sheets and graphene-graphite composites. In some embodiments, a method for producing thinned crystalline graphite from precursor crystalline graphite using wet ball milling processes is disclosed herein. The method includes transferring crystalline graphite into a ball milling vessel that includes a grinding media. A first and a second solvent are transferred into the ball milling vessel and the ball milling vessel is rotated to cause the shearing of layers of the crystalline graphite to produce thinned crystalline graphite.
GRAPHENE AND THE PRODUCTION OF GRAPHENE
Compositions comprising hydrogenated and dehydrogenated graphite comprising a plurality of flakes. At least one flake in ten has a size in excess of ten square micrometers. For example, the flakes can have an average thickness of 10 atomic layers or less.

THREE DIMENSIONAL CHIRAL NANOSTRUCTURES
Proposed is a three-dimensional chiral metal nanoparticle, comprising a heterometal nanoparticle including: a seed region formed of a first metal; and a heterogeneous region disposed on an external side of the seed region to enclose the seed region and formed of a second metal. The first metal is gold (Au), and the second metal is palladium (Pd). In a rectangular parallelepiped structure, a rectangular band shape rotates in a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction on each surface and protrudes towards a center of the surface.
