Bow pump and reactor for wastewater treatment

Described herein is a device for the treatment of water and wastewater that provides a biological or chemical reactor a means to enhance performance by initiating a unique flow pattern between the reactive and solids/liquid separation zones. Said device circulates water between the two zones by forcibly directing water that enters the settling zone back toward the reaction zone via an opening in a partition. The fluid motion scours the bottom of the settling chamber to prevent the accumulation of biologically active solids while maximizing the time those solids spend in the reaction zone; thereby increasing the treatment efficiency of the overall process.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT
20170275195 · 2017-09-28 ·

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for wastewater treatment, in which at least portions of the sewage sludge contained in the wastewater (0) are subjected to a hydrolysis (8). The hydrolysis (8) is carried out as a thermal hydrolysis. After the hydrolysis step (8), a drying process is (19) carried out. The drying process (19) is a process operating with positive pressure in the steam region. At least parts of the steam resulting from the drying process (19), which operates with positive pressure, are fed (20) to the portions of the sewage sludge in the thermal hydrolysis (8).

METHOD OF THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF ORGANIC SUBSTANCE (AS AMENDED)

Provided is a thermal decomposition method that allows efficient thermal decomposition of an organic substance such as a plastic to produce gas and oil with high heating value and with which a large amount of the organic substance can be processed. The method includes mixing the organic substance with an organic substance decomposition catalyst, forming the mixture to produce a composite agglomerated material, and thermally decomposing the organic substance by placing the composite agglomerated material in a thermal decomposition furnace. The maximum catalytic effect can be obtained since the organic substance and the catalyst are close to each other in the composite agglomerated material. Since the catalyst has thermal conductivity higher than that of the organic substance, the temperature rising rate of the organic substance can be increased. As a result, the efficiency of thermal decomposition of the organic substance by the catalyst can be improved, and the rate of thermal decomposition of the organic substance can be effectively increased.
