System and method for dewatering slurries

A dewatering system for separating a slurry into solid material and effluent water. The dewatering system comprises a plurality of support frames arranged to enclose an interior space of the dewatering system, with the interior space being configured to receive the slurry. The dewatering system further includes geo-fabric material positioned on a portion of the support frames, with the geo-fabric material being configured to filter the slurry received within the interior space, such that effluent water permeates through the geo-fabric material and is discharged from the interior space. The dewatering system further comprises a dump door assembly associated with at least one of the support frames, with the dump door assembly including a plurality of hatches configured to selectively open to allow effluent water to be discharged from the interior space of the dewatering system.

HEAT TRANSFER WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

A heat transfer wastewater treatment system utilizes the heat available in raw wastewater flowing into an outdoor treatment pond or other vessel of a wastewater treatment plant to increase the temperature of effluent that is drawn from the pond or other vessel and is provided to a nitrification vessel after warming, thereby improving ammonia reduction provided by the treatment plant, especially during the winter season. The system utilizes the environmentally sustainable green energy available in the raw influent to provide passive heat transfer for improved wastewater treatment.

Field water purification system filter

A field water purification system filter is described. The filter includes a water tight enclosure formed between two layers of a polymeric material, an inlet and an outlet are coupled to the water tight enclosure. A filter envelope including a quantity of filter media is inside the water tight enclosure. The water filter having a minimal thickness when not filled with water. The filter envelope is formed by a first set of bonded segments of the two layers of polymeric material. The filter can also include an outer channel having a first side formed by the water tight enclosure and a second side opposite from the first side. The second side can include a second set of bonded segments of the two layers of polymeric material interspersed with a set of nonbonded segments, the nonbonded segments defining openings in an intermittent barrier between the outer channel and the filter media.

There is disclosed a water treatment apparatus for treating stormwater, the water treatment apparatus comprising a volume of filter media, a baffle and an inlet conduit. The baffle extends upwards from the volume of filter media and defines a pre-treatment zone on one side of the baffle and a treatment zone on an opposing side of the baffle. The inlet conduit opens into the pre-treatment zone and is separated from the treatment zone by the baffle. The baffle is configured to regulate a flow of stormwater received via the inlet conduit by controlling the passage of stormwater from the pre-treatment zone to the treatment zone.

MODULAR SYSTEM FOR WASTE TREATMENT, WATER RECYCLING, AND RESOURCE RECOVERY IN A SPACE ENVIRONMENT

A modular system for waste treatment, water recycling, and resource recovery includes a buffer tank to receive and pre-treat raw organic waste, at least one reactor tank configured as an anaerobic bioreactor that receives and digests pre-treated waste from the buffer tank, a membrane module having a membrane configured to filter waste from the digested waste from the at least one reactor tank to produce a permeate, a permeate collection tank configured to collect and store the permeate generated by the membrane module, a pump system having a plurality of pumps, and a control system configured to monitor the flow of waste and to control the pump system to control the flow of waste between the buffer tank, the at least one reactor tank, the membrane module, and the permeate collection tank.

A rural landscape-type nitrogen and phosphorus ecological interception ditch system and a farmland drainage nitrogen and phosphorus interception method using the system are provided. The system includes a sediment buffer zone, an ecological ditch unit, an interception-conversion pool and a field ridge hedge fence; the sediment buffer zone, the ecological ditch unit, and the interception-conversion pool are sequentially arranged in a continuous ditch along a direction of a water flow; and the field ridge hedge fence is arranged on field ridges on one side or both sides of the ditch. The present disclosure can, on the basis of not affecting normal production functions of a farmland, further exert an ecological role of the farmland, and use the farmland as an assimilation sink for environmental nitrogen and phosphorus, so as to optimize drainage water quality and improve a farmland ecological environment.

Water treatment reactors, systems and methods

A system for wastewater treatment includes a reactor for nitrification of wastewater in a body of water. The body of water has an influent end and an effluent end. The reactor is positioned at the influent end of the body of water, and has a reactor inlet adapted to receive at least a portion of the wastewater from the effluent end of the body of water or from at or near an outlet of the system.
